Of course, my sig is the 1982 game. Greatest game in the history of the series. No, I was not there.

I get most of where you are coming from but being an LSU graduate myself, I couldn't turn on LSU because some of our fans are pricks or Les Miles. Hell, I'm not a huge fan of him. Tulane is a private school so I don't really get the push around part, but I would say blame John Lombardi and the UL system board more aka Jindal for most recent changes in policy. I'm not sure who runs those boards now as I have graduated from LSU already so don't keep up as much.

No offense taken at all. Thorough answer for sure.

I'm pretty sure its the last time yall won as well. It's only symbolic because we went to the Orange Bowl that year and yall enjoyed the embarrassment we suffered for losing to a team with a losing record.

For the pushing schools around part of the equation, I was referring more to ULL, UNO, Nicholls, etc.

And I don't think, for her, it was "just" those things. Couple that with teaching at Tulane day in and day out, including teaching athletes, and going to games (we got season tickets in 2007 so that she could see LSU in the Dome, but went to all the games because we had a good time.....and things grew). The day to day reality of one's college experience is probably more personality forming than any other 4 years of your life. But you can't discard the effects of being around Tulane every day, liking her students, having fun at TU games, etc etc, all at the same time she was having the aforementioned negative issues with LSU. I can certainly see why you can't imagine such a shift, but I think it takes the two things happening at once to make it possible.

It's part of the revised contract when they tore up the 10 year agreement several years ago, that LSU would make one trip to New Orleans.

Good thing LSU made that trip in 2007, then.

Joe can go suck a duck if he signs off on this.

Pretty sure you still owe a trip to New Orleans though.

LSU doesn't owe Tulane anything. One trip was more than enough.

According to the Tulane board when the 10 year contract was terminated it was agreed Tulane would get 1 more home game. If that's true Lsu does owe them one more, but they can obviously buy out of it.

If we're on the hook for one more game, then play it.

But after that, frick that shite.

Return to relevance, Tulane, and the we will talk.

Plus, the last time we played them in the dome it was at 11AM. Hence the fact that it was dead in there.
Yeah, you got that right. LSU was getting beat all over the field.

I'm glad they woke up in the second half and kicked that arse. I also would rather be playing Tulane than Jackson St.

frick, let's play all our games on the road, on second thought let's just move the university out of Baton Rouge and then we might have a better chance of getting games in the state capitol

:jagsfan:

for canceling the contract we agreed to go back once more after 2007.

I don't see why anyone is against LSU going play a game in New Orleans. I wish all of our games were in NO.

I like it. Brings me back to my college days. Better than playing Furman or Kent St.

Terrible. We do best when we open against a quality opponent. It makes summer practices that much more intense.
