Advice on what to do with my bottle of Scotch.....

In Jan. I won a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue King George V edition which I understand is worth anywhere from 500-600$, I only bought 30$ in raffle tickets to win the bottle. I have heard that they aren't making anymore of that particular blend and if that's the case I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea for me to sit on this bottle for a while until a $500 bottle of scotch turns into a $2000 bottle of scotch and then sell it. But if that is gonna take 20 years then I don't really wanna do that. If it would be a better idea to just drink it on a special occasion how should I store the bottle to optimize the flavor? It is already stored in a double box that is silk lined in a swarovski crystal bottle

I would wait and see how much it goes up in value in a few years, if you think it's worth it then sell it. If not say frick it and drink it!

Agree. I'd only wait so long, and if it doesn't seem worth it, drink it.
I always look at stuff like that as.. you didn't have it before, and had you not won, you'd still be out the $30. So enjoy a quality gift you received for nothing. That hypothetical $2000 wasn't lost, so you're not technically losing anything.
This is how I convince myself to spend all of my extra money

Keep it.
Hurricane season is upon us.

Save it and crack it open when new baby Prince George of Cambridge becomes King George VII. You might have to wait 70 years, though.

That is exactly the set up I have scroll of authentication and all.

Drink it. It will not turn into $2000. It may increase in value some, but you're not going to get rich off of it. Save it for special occasions, but drink it and enjoy it.

I'd drink it and would probably cut it with diet coke like I used to do with Dewars. $500 for a bottle of scotch, that's ridiculous.

No way i'd sit on that. Drink it on a special occasion.

You'll be long dead before it increases in value significantly. You've already made off like gang busters getting that bottle for thirty. I'm jelly.

That's not even getting close to ridiculous

I'll give you your $30 back for it.

You should enjoy it the way any fine scotch should be enjoyed. A glass, plenty of ice, 1/2 expensive scotch and 1/2 RC cola

I would drink it. You'll never get another chance to have it.
