This. My choice would probably be Joel Edgerton. He's in shape, only 38 or 39 I believe, and already has combat experience from his roles in Warrior and Zero Dark Thirty.

I've got three choices, and each just depends on the type of Batman they want.
Young Batman (mid 20s-early 30s): Armie Hammer
Mid-Aged Batman (mid 30s- mid 40s): Karl Urban
Older/Dark Knight Returns Batman (50s-60s): Sean Bean
Young Batman (mid 20s-early 30s): Armie Hammer

Well, Sean Bean is more a very specific type of Batman, when he's already at the end of his ropes and his crusading days are numbered. Just a matter of time before they make a theatrical release of "The Dark Knight Returns" and I think Sean Bean would be an appropriate choice. This Batman's likelihood of death in a single film are probable.

This dudes' got the chin for it, and is an acting fool. Pretty close to getting a little long-toothed though.
