I think Ryan Gosling can pull it off. Right among of smoothness and edginess.

Is it really that hard to play batman? I mean fricking George Clooney did it for for christ's sake...

He was cast once before...has the look of a guy who would have been a blue blood born of wealth type...is something like 6'4" or 6' 5"...

My guess is that it's his if he wants it...

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I love Bale as an actor, but the Batman Trilogy had nothing to do with his acting skills.

Grandpa was Arm and Hammer himself.

Hammer is a good choice. Michael Fassbender could pull it off and would be my first pick, but probably will be in XMen land for a while. Maybe Alexander Skarsgard (the blonde vampire in True Blood), though he's kind of a one note in the things I've seen. Andrew Lincoln could definitely handle the acting, but might not have the bulk.

I'd rather the franchise sit on the shelf for a few years and then figure out another lead. Let the trilogy stand on its own and visit some other franchises. Guessing that won't happen with the money at least the first one would make. Justice League is coming soon, anyway, no?

Armie looks too boyish IMO he'd be a great young Bruce but that's about it. I wish they would go with an unknown this time around. Batman practically sells itself, especially after the Nolan trilogy

Bruce Wayne should not be dorky.

It should be Idris Elba after he finishes up with James Bond.

IIRC isn't Nightwing or Azrael supposed to come after Batman's back breaking? I'll have to look but I believe it's a new person all together.

They're just going to CGI all of that.
