Why do I and everyone else say AM Market

I remember freshman year (08') when people would talk about going to AM Mart. I thought they were saying "Ann Mart" so I spent most of my first year wondering what the hell they were talking about

I grew up in Riverbend and it has always been AM Mart and I have never heard AM Market. And "AM" is short for American.

It's AM Mart because it's open in the AM when the bars in Tigerland close and you need something to sober you up and cure your hangover

No it doesn't. It's AM Mart. The AM is short for American and the mart is short for market. Hence AM mart, Idk why everyone thinks the M stands for Mart as if it would be American Market Market

I always called it AM Mart because it's a Mart that's open in the AM.
