Every time I see Grapeheads/Appleheads/Cherryheads, it reminds me of these...
These were my favorite candies as a kid. Used to buy them for 10 cents a box. Then Ferrara Pan went and changed the names and packaging, and because of that, they just don't taste the same anymore.

My mom would serve cold pear halves on a salad plate, with a hunk of cottage cheese in the seed hole. Havent had that in years.

I never had that with cottage cheese, but rather with a scoop of mayo with shredded cheddar cheese on top. Had it at a friends house for Easter one year, they said they grew up on that

Pears with the mayo & shredded cheddar on top is served at the Crystal Grill in Greenwood, MS. I always get it with my meal as my side dish. It's actually very good, despite the way it sounds.

Really good crawfish. I'm in Atl now, and there is no such thing. My pawpaw would make them for us every Easter when we would visit BR. Now he has Alzheimer's, and we won't ever have them like that again. :(

Oyster poboys from a bar called Morels in Gentilly. My uncle use to pick them up. Those were the best oyster poboys that I've eaten in my life. Sometimes on a Sunday, my grandma would call Chicken Delight, since they delivered.

I can't tell you how many cans of vienna sausages I've washed down with a Chocolate Soldier before taking a nap curled up in the floor of my daddy's combine during harvest. Those were some good times.
