Movies That Truly Scared You

The Exorcist. Been a few years since I've seen it and I don't know if I have it in me to ever see it again though I'd consider it a great film. Those other horror movies don't scare me unless it's mental/psychological horror films based in reality but this one goes even further for me.
Spoilers...
Being a Christian, it was terrifying to see a man of faith lose his faith during that encounter with the demon and kill himself. That part terrified me more so than the demon. That movie alone was enough to get me to read the whole Bible.
End Spoilers
What's some movies that truly scared you?

The Exorcist, The Thing, and Gremlins messed me up as a kid.
Even at that age, I saw the Gremlins for the evil bastards they were and didn't like it at all.

IT was scary as hell and so was Aracniphobia. But a movie that just gave me the creeps and left be generally disturbed all around, was the Hills Have Eyes.

Zelda in Pet Semetary is a fricking bitch.

The Exorcist truly disturbed me, took me 3 seperate times to finish it because I quit halfway through twice.
I was like 10 when the 2003 TCM remake came out and it damn near traumatized me..

I watched Event Horizon in the 6th grade. That movie scared the PISS out of me.

The clown industry has still not recovered from It.

The Ring
It
The Grudge
I know a lot of people hate on it, but I watched Paranormal Activity when it wasn't released yet nation wide. Baton Rouge just happened to be one of the areas they released it early. I had no preconceived idea of how it was going to turn out and I did not sleep for 48 hours.

There is the Exorcist followed by a few others.
Salem's Lot is certainly up there. A few scenes from the Omen although it seems more campy now than back then.

Forgot about Jaws...Jaws fricked me up as a kid, and if I'm being honest, for life really. As a kid, I used to get pretty freaked out at night in a swimming pool because of that movie. Even though I knew I was in a pool, the thought of being in water and not being top of the food chain made me completely uneasy. And in the ocean is much, much worse (though I do love being in teh ocean).

First half of Evil Dead.
ETA: When I was a kid, Wizard of Oz. Haven't watched it since. Flying demon monkeys? Are you fricking kidding me?

This. I haven't seen it in a long time. I have no desire to watch it again.

I remember watching Fire in the Sky and not getting a good nights sleep for days afterward. I must have been 12 years old.
I remember seeing Event Horizon in high school and I have never had the desire to see it again.
Ghost movies don't bother me, nor do demons etc. But the alien/space genre of horror gets me every time![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Not a scary (or Good) movie all around, but you know you jumped at this scence:
The Alien in the Pantry
When I was a kid, Darby O' Gill and the Little People. Frick the Banshee and the Death Coach!
