AI was one of the toughest dudes to play in the NBA. He's barely 6' and would take it to the hole among those big mofos with no fear. If you've ever seen an NBA team up close IRL, it makes what AI did during most of his career even more amazing.

None of the above. But solid reply none-the-less.

To answer your question Iverson wasn't liked because he was a cancer in the locker room, wouldn't practice, stayed in trouble off the court, and had an entourage of degenterates that follwed him everywhere. Also his tats and thuggish demeanor didn't help sell him to white America. I liked watching him play ball, and did so for years. His skills were up there with the best who ever played the game. His effort was not.

His refusal to improve and be more of a facilitator.

He's actually right. Sure, Iverson busted his tail every night shooting 22 times, but that doesn't mean that dikembe wasn't working just as hard defending the basket, or eric snow wasn't working just as hard locking down and distributing. Iverson is a posterboy for a horrible phase in the NBA...the volume scorer. Mcgrady, Carter, AI, etc were poor on the ball defenders and never won anything.....the east was just turrible.

Because he played with arguable the worst set of teammate of any superstar in NBA history

If AI's teammates were so bad, why didn't his teams get significantly worse after he left? The Sixers went from a 38 win team with Iverson to a 35 win team when he left and then had a 40 win season the following year after that. The Nuggets went from being swept in the first round and winning one playoff game in two years with Iverson to playing in the Western Conference Finals after they traded him for Billups. The Pistons also had a 20 game dropoff from the previous year after AI joined their team. If AI was such a great player, those teams would have gotten better when he joined them and dropped off significantly after he left. That wasn't the case.

same people who love AI so much as the same people who love Tracy McGrady and Melo and the like.

High volume, prolific scorers who aren't efficient and don't necessarily make their teams better.

not my cup of tea personally

How does AI's career productivity stand up against the other greats? It seems his career fizzled out real quick. Maybe that was because if his intensity or maybe I'm wrong.

Iverson was selfish, a terrible on ball defender, and a horrible teammate. He shot too much and most of his shots were low percentage. Playing in a very weak East made him look better than he really was.

I loved AI, but driving to lane, then flailing your body around it not exactly "bringing it every night".

Not entirely sure about that.

The Pacers looked pretty flat at times this year. I thought they would be better. Hibbert does not look at good as last year. Granger's volume allowed his teammates to be more efficient. High-volume shooters take too much flak IMO.

His "practice"rant, pretty much pushed even the non haters, into a hater role.

He made himself into a doooshbag, to hate.

I like AI, he was never afraid to take the big shot. And there were many games, he would hit them. But he kind of flaked a little towards the end.

No it was because he was a dickhead. His attitude makes him hard to like. It was scary how much he was like his mother.

There isn't a player in the history of the NBA who wouldn't if they had Iverson's teammates
