Because they had to make room for all those informative and stimulating gems on page 1 right now.

Are we unanchored?

Guess so. Now we can get the discussion rolling again.

Former military are highly valued by most all companies.
They are usually straight up, mature individuals. Plus, you have something that translates well to a civilian job. Schulumberger will know that if you don't specifically know what they need you to know, you can be taught.

Good luck and thanks for your service.

Everyone getting caught back up from the moratorium. And I was more referring to the unstable economy and the uncertainty right now, not so much BO doing anything in particular.

Yes and I don't know. Not sure I'd feel comfortable asking my MWD hand what he makes. Maybe someone else on here has that answer.

Exactly. Look at the recent revenue reports and you will see the numbers are way off and the price of natural gas and Canadian Heavy are way down.

That only means one thing. We are about to go through a downturn. Many areas are already feeling it. You guys that are busy better be socking some rainy day cash aside. Companies are positioning themselves right now to weather out a slow year in natural gas E&P.

Construction Management major here. I still have a year left before I graduate. If I want to, I can spend an extra year and get a geophysics degree to go with it. I was wondering if there are some jobs that would be a good option for me right out of college or for next summer. My only experience was interning under a project manager for an electrical subcontractor. Is there anything in the oil/gas industry worth applying for that will pay me more than entry level CM jobs will?

If you haven't already, sign up for Construction Interviewing Day on campus ASAP. Great companies will be there.

It's because of their work ethic. This has been going on for at least 15 years.
