Thanks for the info! I didn't mean to cheapin what it takes to be a instrument tech. I'm clueless to offshore jobs in general.

They do. We have about 8 D&C operators on my platform

Do you think being an operator @ chemical plant would be qualifying experience?

Probably. I know a few that have done it with zero experience.
