I don;t understand the infatuation with Les Miles

People have short memories. First he humiliated Jarrett Lee last December when he sent him in to take a snap for the last play of the game. Without Jarret Lee he'da never made it to the SEC Championship to being with.
Then in January he makes the Tiger nation sit through the most humiliating debacle imaginable. A Vietnamese Buddhist monk fresh off the shrimp boat could see Jordan Jefferson wasn't going to get us past the 50. While McCaron spent his Xmas studying game film Jefferson spent his studying how to get the tightest Chronic Doobie roll.
But his arrogance and pride he refused to put in Lee and we lost any hope of a ring and had to watch Nick the Prick hoist another Crystal for the Crimson Tide.
November 2nd he had to show the world he was the Mad Hatter. An impossible to make 4th and 12 fake that Archer, Curly and Dinardo together on their worst day wouldn't have dialed up. The ball is snapped 3 to 4 yards back from the line. That means #30 has to gain 17 yards to make a first against the NFL speed of the Bama special teams. OJ Simpson in his prime booking out from slashing Nicole's throat couldn't have made 17 yards in that situation. Then he tries a 54 yard Field goal against the wind with a kicker that had been missing gimmes all year. A wildcat on 4th and one and a handful of other bizarre calls. We were a minute away from glory despite him.
Now the way it's playing out that cost us a National Championship and odds are Nick and the Gumps will be sizing up for another ring.
He was a minute away from losing to Ole Miss for god sakes. 20 minutes later he's carrying on like he was General Patton and he just liberated Bastogne and defeated Hitler at the Battle of the Bulge.
Suddenly the same people that'a run him out of town on a rail if he'd lost to Ole Miss love him like a father. Good ol crazy Les, he loves LSU with a passion.
Well by my reckoning he has now cost us two Rings. With love like that who needs hate?
Maybe it's me against a million LSU fans. But I call em like I see em. And either me or a million LSU fans are just plane crazy...

TL DR
But to answer your question he wins games. Sure he loses some too but who doesn't?

Most consistent and successful coach in LSU football history (and SEC football history for that matter). It's almost impossible to do what Miles has done at LSU. While Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, USC all have ups-and-downs, rises and falls, LSU is the only consistent SEC power in modern day football, and Miles is the one responsible for that inexplicable consistency.
Also a college football icon that keeps LSU on the forefront of national college football coverage.
Miles knows how to run a Top5 program. Anyone that thinks otherwise is a dumbass.

You are trying too hard with your stupid fricking analogies.
And while I was a big Jlee supporter, he couldn't move the ball against Bama either. I think he should have had a shot, but it would have been irrelevant.
You are talking about one of the most successful coaches in the country, and one of the best in LSU history. Try again next time.

FWIW, you know how I know you're doing the whole "college football thing" wrong?

On second thought, I don't understand the continued nit-picking, goalpost-moving butthurt of a certain vocal segment of rantards.
