Best bang for your buck...try Ebay. Seriously. You can find every brand in great used condition for a fraction of the cost new. Sometimes you can find new for a fraction of the price as well and most sellers today offer return options.

Get someone to look at your swing. You can youtube it to death but unless you know exactly what is causing you to swing that way you can't attack the problem. You could end up working on something that doesn't need to be fixed.

Have you looked at Vice Pro. I am not nearly good enough to tell the difference between any balls but I have read that Vice Pro (3pc urethane cover) closely acts like the PV1 especially when it comes to spin and greenside workability.

I don’t see a problem with this. When buying a car it’s nice to see the service report on car. It’s also nice to prevent people from cheating the insurance company. Because the insurance companies aren’t going to lose money so you know who subsidizes those cheats? You do!
Pretty much this. Verified Annual Mileage is now a thing because so many people (agents include) lie about the true annual mileage driven for lower rates. They should have an odometer reading to compare the new reported number with to determine the annual mileage. If the newly reported odometer reading is off you should be able to verify with current odometer pictures and/or a carfax report (considering the new reading came from another source). I would definitely ask to see the numbers. Your agent will likley be more than happy to look into especially if he feels he may lose your business.

I don't mind what they look like, but boy it pisses me off when they quote $14,000 to paint my 2,100 sq ft house.
That's a pretty good motivational technique to get me off of my lazy arse and outside painting my house myself.
This...we had to pull up all our wood floors and replace them. Wife said she was going to paint our 5 bedrooms herself. I bought all the paint and rented scaffolds. She procrastinated up until the week before new floors were going in. I got a guy exactly as described in the OP to give me a quote. $2,500. To paint walls only. No trim whatsoever and I had already purchased the paint. This was at 10am on a Friday. She was painting by noon and it was completed Sunday afternoon. Mostly by me but yea. Aint no way I was paying him that much money.

Not much new has come out since early this morning. The LOE was a Deputy Marshall, Barry Gigilio. Moved to VP after Katrina from NOLA and brought the aforementioned Pig Stand back to life for a few years. Not word yet on the warrant but one male was killed (I believe that is who the warrant was for) and one female was shot and taken away in critical condition. A 3rd suspect was taken into custody. Killing and being killed over a warrant. How f@cking stupid.

Adding on...giving a little more depth...encouraging others to do the same...and they are a competitor. But hey I'm all about lowering rates when possible as long as coverage is adequate.

I did something with Farm Bureau a few months ago. My agent checked and mentioned something about a multi-state plan (I might be way off). My vehicle insurance for both me and my wife went down a good bit. Maybe $70 a month
FB used to use a state specific rating system. In '21 they started rolling out the new company specific rating system in Louisiana. The new system had some really good rates at the time as I'm sure they still do. The last few months they began rolling people from the old system to the new one. There are some requirements and no guarantee how your price will be affected but I do know that some have seen some significant changes. I would call me FB agent and ask then about pricing the new system if possible.

They aren’t a secret per se, but carriers put much more money in to customer acquisition than they do into retention. They rely on people being loyal or lazy and just accepting that rates are going to go up. When you call them and provide actual quotes they mysteriously find discounts that they can apply or they re-rate you.
The only one that normally doesn’t re-rate you for a lower amount is USAA. Pretty much all the other major carriers will see what they can do to adjust your rate. They may not match, but they can normally work it up to where it’s within a few dollars.
***Just a note, this info for auto insurance, homeowners and commercial policies have a lot less leeway.
"That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works."
If you called me and told me that I either price matched or you were walking, I would look at the coverages you were quoted. If it was the same that you have or very close I tell you that you found a good deal and you should take it if our service was not worth the price difference. In no way shape or form can you just price match and you can't just rerun credit/driving/history. It that were the case my retention would be damn near 100%. And if you think that retention doesnt matter then you clearly have no idea what you are talking about but we know that already.

So its the property claims that are driving up the costs and not the personal injury? Wow thats crazy.
The liability claims and amount of uninsured drivers has always been a factor in keep LA one of the highest state for auto insurance. Thats didnt change but add the following into the mix:
1.Labor wage increases due to labor shortages. No one wants to work so labor rates have increased to try and get workers.
2.Technology in the auto are abundant and components prices and availability are costly and in short supply.
3.Number of parts per claim. There are more individual parts to repair and replace than before. More parts more labor hours at increased labor wages....
4.Increase in amount of hours per claim. This one completes 3. It is taking longer to repair autos.
5.Increased storage and/or rental costs because it is taking longer to complete repairs because or labor shortage, more parts, waiting on parts.

Not my scenario. All my insurance is in same name and my agent advised both. The general liability covers some things that the umbrella doesn't.
Curious as to what the GL covers that the umbrella doesn't. Does the GL fall under the umbrella? Like I said earlier, all your policies should have their own liability so I am generally curious as to what the GL would be for? Not saying he's wrong but I am not seeing what the GL is for. I also do not know what all you are insuring.
re: Any advice on a Personal Liability Policy vs an Umbrella?
Posted by Belaire Buck on 6/12/23 at 1:46 pm to KWL85
If you have home, auto, atv, rental Propeties, ect insured properly under your personal name then you would have personal liability insurance coverage on each of those policies. There would be no need for a separate individual personal liability policy. The Personal Umbrella Policy would then put all these policies and their limits under its cover and add additional coverage if those policy limits are exhausted.
It any of your property is owned by a business then the same should hold true about the business liability on those policies. Your business may be labor only and you would then hold a business liability policy. Either way you can have a Business Umbrella Policy which would then put all these policies and their limits under its cover and add additional coverage if those policy limits are exhausted.
Business umbrella will not cover personal property and personal umbrella will not cover business property.

I don't know how it impacts other states, but I recently saw where both Stare Farm and Allstate have announced they will no longer insure new homes, condos, or businesses in the state of California.
No impact on other states. It's not just homes. Alot of companies are not insuring autos in Cali as well. Insurance companies are reporting record underwriting loss every quarter and as mentioned previously the cost for reinsure has increased significantly which is why we are continuing to rates increasing. California government is not approving rate increases so the companies are not taking on much new risk. Those that are, are requiring polices to be paid in full and UW guidlines are super strict. Renewals are also being required full pay. The covid effect is hitting hard as there is a labor shortage so labor prices have gone up to try and attract workers. Repairs are taking longer because vehicles have more parts to replace than years ago. Electrical components are expense require special techs and equipment to repair/replace. Longer repair times mean more storage and/or rental fees.
On the homeowners side a lot of the same can be said about labor and material shortages and companies are trying to price you out if your policy because they just don't want the exposure unless you really want to pay for it.

When I was 15 my grandmother had been ill and in ICU for sometime. They knew her time was coming to an end and they allowed all the grankids to go in a couple at a time. My cousin and I were in for a brief visit and before we left he told her "See you tomorrow" and her reply was "No you wont". After everyone made their visit she passed away. That was 30 years ago and I still hear those words very clearly.

You can check the status of your license here and it will tell what the flag is for and if it involves the vehicle you sold. I had a similar experience personally and I sent the information in that they requested just like you did but I did get a response once the issue was resolved. I would try to find that request and resubmit everything. I am an insurance agent and we see stuff like this more than you would think.
