Mett and receivers need 20-25 reps on flat to intermediate stuff. Drive-sustaining-LBs-back-on-their-heels stuff.
LSU also needs to work Y and should give a hands TE some reps vs FCS.
I don't see where running over Towson will help team growth, but game speed reps with routes and reads will.

Somewhere in the 3rd-4th, Rivers and Randle need some game time and not just handoffs.
Flynn had around 80 att and 10 TDs before '07 and produced a crisp performance vs a good VT D in his 2nd game.

Agreed. The time to work on passing is this game. Not in a game when the defense has stacked the box and we have no other choice, like the Auburn game.

Mett needs to pull a Drew Brees and stay after practice every day working on his timing w/ his receivers so that maybe they will catch the damn ball.

I have no problem with throwing every down. The O-line has to learn to pass block and the receivers need to catch the dang ball. Simple plan ... Just execute it.

I agree with this. Towson will be a scrimmage basically for this LSU team, may as well get some reps on. I would let Rivers get some throws in mid third and fourth quarters as well. He may be necessary before the season is over.

I don't have any illusions of an air raid type of offense but work on the weaknesses at least.

They called 33 pass plays last week. I bet we throw it way less cus we will eat up the ground and clock against towson.

Agree, the reps will benefit both Mett and our WR's, if the OL isnt blocking Towson d-linemen, then we're in trouble.

33 passes were called against auburn

I'd love to see miles let Mett air it out working on passes, both short and intermediate

Whoa whoa. The Rant isn't concerned with wins or losses. LSU has to throw more just because.

No. Mett needs to throw 20 passes or so and make a first half exit. Rivers Bolden and Randall need to see playing time. Especially the way the line is performing.

Completely disagree that throwing the ball a lot this Saturday doesn't give the team more confidence in the passing game. Mett, the WR and OL all need to get their timing in line regardless of the competition. Did you see the play action bootlegs that Mett threw awfully?

Throw the damn ball Les!

You can't be serious? Wait maybe you are....If you are then wow, you should stop posting.

Mett could throw the football on every single offensive play this week and there would be 0% chance of losing the football game.

Only 40? I'm sick of this run first shite. We should throw it 100 times a half.
