Miles isn't going to throw the ball alot when we're up by 30 or 40 in the 2nd half. most coaches wouldn't.

I understand the goal, but I am not sure its gonna help accomplish what you want. Mett and the OL will not get better going against such subpar competition.

I said the same thing. The passing game needs a lot of work.

Miles doesn't need to be addressing a damn thing about Mett's playing until he makes him shave his mustache.

Priorities.

Subpar competition is better than limited contact scrimmages. Last chance for repetition type live practice before meat of SEC.

For us to be up 30 or 40 in the second half would have required a helluva lot more passes than we've been attempting in one half of football.

Yeah, much better to run it up on Towson then to get quality reps in practice against SEC caliber DBs.

DISCLAIMER: I disagree with the OP.

However, do you think it's smart to tell Mingo, Montgomery, Edwards, Freak, Logan, et al to go all out and hit Mett? There's no way to simulate SEC caliber pressure. The problem with the passing game isn't just the SEC DBs. It's moreso the SEC DL. And the issue with the passing game regarding DBs is more on the receivers who run chitty routes and have dropped a dozen or so passes this season.
