Agreed.
Disagreed. How can you blame Coach Miles. Coach has done everything right, Coach can't be blamed for this, Coach is enforcing the rules. Dumb statement, NEXT!

TM7 is responsible! No one else. Sounded like the infraction was of the severity that he would no longer be able to attend LSU. So even if Miles thought he ok with whatever it is it wouldn't matter since you have to be a student at LSU to play on the LSU football team.

Can you guys suggest how to deter a 18-21 year old "know it all" kid with physical prowess and notoriety from screwing up if he's prone to do so?

Doesn't even make TM7 a bad person, he's just an immature kid who's been handed the world at this point.

All the "star" kids in trouble are collapsing under the pressure.

You really think Miles could have done anything?

Did you ever stop and think that maybe other coaches cover more up than Miles?

I hate to hear this, he's worth a win or three by himself.

But he was headed for disaster, you could tell.

I would say the person failing the drug test is responsible. If I fail a drug test at work, I cant blame my supervisor for it.

I guess you think Miles can follow him around 24/7

All Mathieu has to do is transfer, show up to the combine, piss clean and he's guaranteed millions as he was anyway. Only one who suffers is LSU's defense. Hope it was worth it.

His best shot at the pro's was if he could keep up a high level of performance at at premier program in a premier conference. Size and speed will be a question more than ever if he finishes out as a stud at some bush league school. Might have just cost himself at least a shot at some NFL bucks.

I heard he failed a drug test a few days ago but didn't think it had any truth to it.. I do now

I cant tell you the amount of times I have seen TM7 at the House for free drinks on Saturdays, looking completely loaded.

Yep. And you can be sure that he knew fully well that if he fricked up again he was off the team and chose to make bad decisions anyways. Can't blame Miles or any of the coaches.

Tyrann is responsible for Tyrann.

Do you instantly start looking around to blame someone else when you do something wrong?

well...at least we aren't Penn State.

Seriously, the way these things have been handled at LSU don't kill the reputation of our school, program, fanbase, etc.

As much as this sucks, it is a reality check.

Ask around? I don't see many other top tier programs having to suspend/kick off their key players every freaking year right before the season starts. Apparently that isn't a deterrent, so?

Maybe we are just going after players with bad attitudes? Maybe being on the team makes star players feel like THEY run things?

When are we gonna hear from Tyrann? I'm really curious as to what he says about this.

If it was a single incident then you can't blame him.

When there are multiple incidents with disciplinary problems in the program then you go to the top.

Miles may need to be a little tougher with discipline. Maybe he is starting with TM7 and making a statement to the rest of the team that he isn't tolerating BS anymore.
