Article may be influenced by his performance in BCS Title game.
Which, while far from his best, wasn't nearly as bad as everyone likes to make it out to be in hindsight.

shite, if he just plays on par with last season there's no way anyone can say he's overrated. I mean, without looking like a retard.

All the guy does is make big play after big play that makes no sense, and I can't see this list but if Arron Murray isn't on it it's complete horse shite.

No shite. You don't become one of the nations most recognized defensive players by being overrated.

It is amazing ... Pp's last game against Alabama he gave up 7 completions, over 100 yards and a td.

Still considered great.

Tm7 gives up 3-4 completions, no td's and he can't cover shite.

Amazing

There's probably only a handful of players in the last 20 years that have been better than Mathieu through two seasons. He is the epitome of a defensive game changer.

Stupid as frick. Georgia or Arkansas's entire special team units couldn'ta caught him in a phone booth on those returns last year. So is he overrated as a returner? Or as a tackler? Turnover specialist? Blitzer? Or a cover man, I'm confused.

Or a cover man

This, according to this one guy's statistically supported opinion. Doesn't really make much mention of his abilities on special teams or forced fumbles.

All the guy says is he gives up, on average, too many yards while not getting enough interceptions.

I think the real fault in the guy's logic is that the hype surrounding Mathieu isn't really about his abilities as a pure cover corner.

Oh, I'm sure someone will let him know. ESPN just poking a "drowsy" badger. And I say drowsy fully realizing his recent twitter activity.

Don't know who wrote it but there was an amazing article on the H.B. from and NFL analyst that said he's a 1st rounder in the NFL draft, that he's a complete or near complete player...
