Nice shots.

Regarding the match, I love how during the buildup to this match, there were some columns written about how Paul Emerick was trying to shed his image as a dirty player.

Oops.

We had two red cards in the second half. Hard to execute a game plan when you are playing 13 on 15.

I was there.

Nice pics. LOL at the fan with binoculars in pic #7, as if the play wasnt close enough....

Pregame at Luckys was awesome. Alot of drunks...

great stadium, every seat is a good seat. I concur on the fact that it was hot.

Some big hits. Makes me want to better understand the game / join a club.

How does this sport not get the soccer treatment of the entire thread calling the fans/players queer?

I mean look at the pictures?

You're a fellow Gunner supporter, so I'll let you off light.

Rugby doesn't get the undeserved "queer" treatment because most Americans, even dumb rednecks, understand it a bit better because it is more similar to American Football than soccer is.

that is a reason, yes. And the fact that there is actually some contact without a player acting like he was just shot.

I know very little about rugby, but is the US team improving at a rate where they can stand a reasonable chance at making the quarterfinals of the World Cup in the next decade?

no, you're talking top 8-10 in the world. In reality, there's the top 10-11 teams, then a big drop off. We're a good bit away from competing at that level consistently.

Gotcha. So is it something like this?

Tier 1: NZ, Australia, South Africa
Tier 2: England, France, Argentina, Wales, Ireland
Tier 3: Scotland, Italy, Samoa, Tonga
Tier 4: Everyone sucks

If we're 16 or 17 right now, where were we a decade ago? Even further back or kind of in the same place?
