No film should "need" a sequel.

The window on True Lies closed a decade ago, but it would have been awesome.

So Lord of the Rings should have ended at "Fellowship" or should it have been 10 hours long? Plenty of movies need sequels.

Who Framed Roger Rabbitt is so good, they don't need to make a CGI sequel.
District 9 sequel would be the only time I ever cheer for the aliens over people

Scott need to put out the director's cut of Prometheus immediately to make up for the original. Instant sequel.
Unbreakable would be interesting.

I'm gonna go ahead and say that these movies don't need sequels. In almost every case either the window on that franchise has closed or it would be impossible to recreate the spirit that made the original so special.

well, those films were 'intented' for sequels.. I was thinking we were referring to 'stand alone films'.

It could still be a cartoon. It could be about cartoons struggling to survive in a CGI world where they have to compete for jobs with their digital counter-parts.

There was a Starman series in the 80s and I think the kid was in that.
