If the Heat are up by 10-15 its frontrunning time and show off time. LeBron plays well in those situations. But if it a close gritty game in the 4th, the Great LeBron James morphes into LeBron Copperfield. Simply because in the 4th the lane closes up. So he has to shoot jumpers or go to the foul line and in those crucial situation he is scared shitless of that. Kind of similar to ARod.

i have no idea Rag.

I ask this question every day on the MSB.

A LeBron related topic on the MSB cannot go one page without a Lebron apologists bringing Kobe into it. it's impossible.

Kobe could be on a yacht cruising the Caribbeans with Vanessa right now. Miles aways from a basketball court and yet somehow he and his stats are relevant in LeBron James topics around here.

Lebron has done that about a dozen times. But guess what MJ Magic Kareem Kobe Shaq Bird and Lebron combined have 0 rings when their teammates play like shite

This is the point. He is by far the most physically gifted basketball player ever. He can flat out dominate the game. Yet he is such a mental midget with no heart that he can't get it done consistently when it counts. He simply just doesn't get it. You can see it in his body language, facial expressions, interview comments, etc. He has all the physical ability in the world (which lets him go 30/10), but he lacks heart and mental toughness (which is needed to lead teams to titles).

JESUS frickING CHRIST..............SOMEONE frickING GETS IT. Anytime a LeWalk apologist reads something like this, they immidiately post stats. Things like the above listed are not kept in a fricking scorebook.

Derek Fisher and Robert Horry make shot = Kobe is a clutch alpha male

Mario Chalmers and Shane Battier miss shots = Lebron is mental midget with no heart

So his last 5 minutes average out to 29 points and 10 rebounds. That sounds like really good numbers to me?

Per Forty eight minutes. You are supposed to extrapolate to Thirty six minutes.

21.8 ppg
7.5 rpg
25% shooting

I wish I could find the video clip. But it's a famous Larry Bird clip. And in my opinion it shows the big difference between players of that era vs the Kobe's and LeWalks of today. Players of today CANNOT shoot jumpers. They are streaky at best, and can only drive the lane and score or get fouled. When the lane closes up in the fourth, they shite themselves and their teams more often than not. Well anyway the C's are playing the Lakers in the Garden, and it's late in the game and the C's are inbounding for the game winner to Bird, Riley leaves him wide open, and miraculously bird misses the shot, and they lost. But he immidiately turns around to Riley and gives him the look like, I can't believe you just left me wide open to take that shot.

IMO you can leave players like Kobe and LeWalk and DWade wide open because they can't shoot to save their lives. Every now and then they will hit it, and it makes you forget about all the times they couldn't get to the rim and were forced to shoot a 15-25ft jumper and choked because the simply can't shoot.

Man I wish I could find that clip.

This is what im getting at. Hisorically, Kobe is looked at as clutch because his team one. Just as Jim Kelly historically isnt as good because his field goal kicker blew it and missed, where Tom Brady's kicker nailed those field goals.

Kobe wouldnt hide in the corner and wait for the coach to draw up a play for him either. Kobe dictates in those situations. My favorite moment ever was during All Star game when Kobe got in LeBron's shite for passing up THE shot again in a fricking All Star game.

it is a very good post.

he also brings up another topic i would like to discuss (sorry LBJ apologists, it isn't Kobe).

I noticed last night when Bosh came in off the bench to play a few. At one point he drove to the basket hard, got a lay in, and a foul from behind by KG.

Bosh goes nutts. The crowd goes nutts. The Heat go on a rally.

The Heat desperately need an emotional leader. A KG if you will (yes, yes we all know the MSB thinks KG is douche). But they need the guy who's going to get into people's faces, pump up the crowd, jaw the other team, and yell to the top of his lungs after a pivotal play.

Flopping or crying to the refs don't count as positive emotions, they are negative and typically have burned the Heat because it is this whining/crying that hurts their transition defense.

To me it sometimes seems as if Wade and LBJ are going thru the motions out there. Emotionless (minus when they are flopping).

It seems sometimes they are concentrating harder on what Emo/Hipster outfit they are wearing to the after game presser rather than the actual game.

i dunno. it may be a single opinion. they've just seemed to lack that in the last few games.

God, I am so sick of people saying that Lebron has no heart. I get that what he did was quite a douche move with "The Decision" but all you people who hate him will never say that he does anything right. He dominated the whole Pacers series while D Wade played terrible the whole series, then when Wade goes for 40 in the closeout game and Lebron has 28, (still a solid game) you all say that Lebron can't close in big games. And I love how you'll sit there and say that Kobe and MJ would do anything to win games while Lebron won't. I get that Lebron had a terrible outing in the finals last year, but he dominated the entire playoffs before that. THen I watch Kobe blow 3 games in the Thunder series by having costly turnovers late and shooting the Lakers out of the game during the last few minutes and then go into a press conference and throw Pau under the bus as if everything depended on that last possession. Then I also watch him throw a hissy fit when Steve Blake takes a wide open three when Kobe is double teamed and not open. And this is the guy that everybody loves. Potential game tying or game winning shots in the 4th quarter in playoffs. MJ 9-18. LBJ 5-12. Kobe 7-27. And don't tell me numbers don't matter because I'm actually bringing up facts, meanwhile all the Lebron haters just say I'm watching the game and he has no heart. Give me something more than just saying he disappears without an explanation.

KG is the douche every team wishes they had on their team. He is in beast mode right now. He wears his emotions on his sleave and plays hard ever game.

THey are more worried about complaining to the refs instead of getting back on D. Rondo hit the nail on the fricking head after game 4.

They are too worried about being likeable IMO. Especially LeWalk. Magic is the only GOAT that I can think of that cared if people liked him or not. But I think that was more off the floor.

This is why I don't like Lebron. He is, and always has been, more about himself than about the game of basketball.

MJ loved the game first. Kobe loves the game first. Lebron loves Lebron first. BLEE DAT FOOLS
