Wade is the only reason Boston didn't blow the doors wide open in the last 4-5 minutes.

I was bringing up the fact he second guessed himself shooting some wide open jumpers.

The Celtics will feel comfortable in playing that defense because of that reaction of wade. It allows them to completely focus on Lebron, let's Wade still get some of his, and force the Heat to win with Role players.

I'm still just mindblown on how this whole "Well if you average it out to 48 minutes, it's okay" thought process is relevant.

It's not. We are talking the last 5 minutes of playoff games where he disappears but as the GOAT of the MSB her should be lighting up and closing out a team that has no business competing against the Heat.

i agree Lebron is not as clutch as other greats, but he isn't terrible late either. He isn't a pure shooter so he never will knock down those clutch shots.

those stats are pretty telling..game 1 was in the bag so doesn't matter.

Game 2 was close and look at this numbers. He got the line 6x late in the 4th..he was attacking the basket and involved in the offense.

Games 3-5 was completely the opposite.

I understand every late possession is now looked under a microscope, but it's deservedly so after the Finals last year, and the ECF the year before.

Point taken. Look, i agree Lebron is not as clutch as other greats, but he isn't terrible late either. He isn't a pure shooter so he never will knock down those clutch shots.

Well I think the problem everyone out there has, is he's either settling for outside shots, or the D is forcing him to take them. And he's not going to the rim which he does so easily at other parts of the game. He often passes off and defers to other players. IT's more than just simple point production in my opinion. It's decisions and conceeding that does him in.

Ok, this is my opinion. Lebron is one of the best players of all time. I think top 3. But he wouldn't be a player i have in my top 5 for the last 5 minutes. And it doesn't have to do with being clutch or the will to win etc etc. It comes down do game styles. In the last 5 minutes the NBA becomes a shooters game. The D tightens up and you have to shoot well to beat it. And for the record, I dont want the Heat to win.

That is not good at all. Plus, Per 48 means they play the whole game. Should be Per 40.

Completely agree. Lebron is a run-n-gun type player and for the first 42 minutes of a game, this style is perfect. With Lebron, you are hoping that he is good enough in the first 42 to counter the final 6. He can still be good in the final 6 but more often then not, he wont dominate this time frame.

Its like what Reggie Miller always said, "Its what you do in winning time that defines you a player".

Every single guy who's been an all time great in the NBA has been graded and ultimately remembered on what they have done in the playoffs. More importantly when games were on the line. For instance. Larry Bird is often remembered for his steal vs the pistons. Probably his most commercialized moment in the playoffs. Magic was his skyhook vs the C's, MJ the last shot vs the Jazz. But obvioulsy they have all done more, won more than just those moments. I think LeWalk's only one is the 3 he hit to win that playoff game when he was with the cavs. But since them he's stunk late in the playoff games when they heat needed big plays to win the game.

Well then I disagree with Reggie completely. It makes absolutely no sense. Reggie will always be better than Lebron late in games. But as a player, he doesn't even compare.

Winning time doesn't exist to the LeBron apologists...he scored 30 in 3 and a half quarters, so he's excused from showing up in the 4th.

Im not an apologists. I admit he isn't that good late in games. It's a fact. But it's also a fact that he is overall the best player in the game right now.

So you would not be so hard on Lebron if he did not have a tattoo on his back?

Why, what good is the regular season outside of entertainment value? Playoff success/production is what every professional athlete is judged upon.

I refuse to call him by his name. And because he travels more than any player I have ever seen in my life.

Well unfortunately that is true. But he is building up a reputation for disappearing in playoffs games where he should be dominating. Late in close games. Not in games where they are running away with it. Just sayin.

Kobe is on the severe downside of his career and has never been the physical specimen Lebron is.

Bring in Kobe's stats from when he was 25-27 and well compare

I don't know that anyone's arguing that. Kobe is no longer in his prime either. Oh, and 5 rings excuses him.
