Goodbye everyone from GoT threads forever. I refuse to let assholes ruin a good thing for me

What was the deal with the assasin changing his face? Was that some kind of magic or some training he has? I also wonder if he is connected to her sword play instructor in any way.

There was a whole page of posts on this from last night that got nailed in part of the whack that just happened I guess.

Many folks think Jaqen could be Syrio since he's able to change his face and we actually never see Syrio die in season 1, and it'd be nice to think so since Syrio was awesome.

Apparently Martin has kinda shot that down a bit in interviews without straight up saying Syrio died.

Either way, it's a fun theory to go with to me.

All I know is he believes in the same god Melisandre (Stannis's redhead) believes in, so I assume it's the red god magic stuff.

I was also sad to see Arya not go with the assasin. What was the deal with the assasin changing his face? Was that some kind of magic or some training he has?

I was disappointed Arya didn't go with him as well. He could be like a new Syrio for her and her buddies. Maybe he is related to that creepy sorcerer in Quarth that Dany killed.

Yeah, but that could be taken in many ways. The wildlings could theoretically not even know that Mance were Benjen. or they could have said that to highlight that Mance/Benjen would be thrilled to see his own kin and have them join him. Anyway, I think that theory was debunked.

just so you guys know Mance Rayder was first mentioned in season one by Ser Alliser Thorne in "Cripples, Bastards and Broken Things". Watching that scene may help with a little more backstory about Mance and his postion as king beyond the wall

Thanks. I am going to have to watch all of Season 1 again just to pick up on this kind of stuff. The first season (for non book readers) was so confusing, just trying to get a handle on the characters and their relationships, that I missed a lot of this type of stuff.

Probably because of the BS that went on with TN Bhoy spoiling about certain characters dying. I don't think he was telling the truth, but he was a real jerk. I just watched last night's episode again, and already can't wait till next season. It's too bad this is anchored because there was some good discussion going on.
Finally, Dany showed some redeeming qualities. I also want to know what Sansa's plan is. I have to think she is thinking of something by staying in King's Landing.

I just don't know why on earth she would want to stay in King's Landing. Maybe she was just saying that to Littlefinger because she thinks that is what she is supposed to say.

I think that she is just mentally fricked up after all of the shite that has happened. She is one fricked up cookie at this point.

watched it last night. This has to be one of the most underwhelming season finale's EVER. Lots of stuff happened, but it was so boring. Didn't feel like a Finale. More like a mid season episode. Really don't like what happend to Tyrion.

Was cool to see the army of White Walkers at the end.

I am still not clear on exactly what happened with Tyrion in this episode. Why hasn't Tywin stuck up for him? Did Joffrey and Cersei make up a story downplaying his efforts in the battle? Tywin had to know that Tyrion was out fighting with the men, no? I don't get why they are secluding him.

Do they even know he is alive? When they first show him Tyrion, he screams for his squire to tell him to tell everyone that "he is very much alive"

She doesn't know who she can trust. Think about being in her shoes for a second...

You were raised to be a Lady. Not just lady-like, but the epitome of kind, gentle, caring, etc. You don't have a deceptive bone in your body. You are ultimately naive and are then betrothed to your Prince Charming.

Instead of being a fairy tale, Prince Charming turns out to be a cruel, evil, cowardly despot. He kills your father by very publicly having him beheaded then puts his head on a spike as a way to impress you. He gets his most thrills from being publicly cruel to you and no one will stand up for you (except for one instance where his dwarf of a brother does). Your dreams of what life at court were like (tea parties and chivalry) are shot to hell and you have no idea who is or isn't a friend from day-to-day.

Just the quick smile from being released from the betrothal (that no one else could see) is your biggest act of rebellion.

Why would you trust Littlefinger after he was the one that helped betray your father?
