The look on tv of the course is very different from playing it. I've played Sawgrass twice and it is def a top 3-4 course I've played. Number 1 is Ocean Course at Kiawah

So great to see Tiger faltering with a 74 and pretty much out of it after Day 1. I don't believe in Karma, but am loving his spiral and futile efforts to bring himself back anywhere near to the dominating player e once was.

If Tiger played in the morning is think he had a chance at making cut. It should remain around even and playing in the afternoon with how awful his swing is right now, he is probably 70-30 on missing cut. I'd say he breaks away from Foley either Monday after a missed cut or wait til after after US Open. He is stubborn.

True. The course is different in person. The toughest hole by far to me was #14. I hit my drive exactly where Luke Donald did today just over a huge mound in the right rough. The rough was actually much deeper when I played the course than it was today. Loved #4 when I played it (insane green). #5, #6,#8, #14, and #18 are the hardest holes out there. #17 is by far the most overrated as far as difficulty is concerned. My dad, my brother, and I played the hole 1 under and that was with me missing an 8 footer for birdie.

Way to be a fricking douche. What he does off the course should have no bearing on how you see him as a golfer.

You don't like him that's fine, a lot of people don't on this board.

Don't herp derp this thread with shite like that.

The 17th played at 124 yards yesterday. These are the best golfers in the world sticking a tee under a wedge, and yet we still had something like 18 balls in the water there yesterday.

I guess it's pride that won't allow the pros to aim for the middle of the green from 125 yards instead of shooting at the stick.

And to Tiger1242

I've got a buddy that plays there quite often, I believe he used to work there; but he texts me pictures of the course every time he plays just to rub in where he's playing .

Meh, it had a lot to do with the way he played in 2010, but no one even talks about his affairs, divorce, car accident, etc anymore.

I think Tiger has spent so much time on his new swing that he's neglected his short game.

the media ignores this. they don't want to lose access or have the mighty Tiger sneer at them. Well all of them aside from Alex Micelli. lull.

The man is living through a painful divorce and his life is irrevocably altered. His family is shattered and its his fault. All his fault. and he knows this. You can't tell me that doesn't affect his golf game.

Rory needs to make a move in a hurry or else he's going to be hanging around the cut line. Even thru 8. Phil is at -2 (for the week) thru 8.

That's fine, maybe it is. But Tiger's personal life shouldn't effect a fan's opinion of him is all I'm saying.

Rory always wanted to play like Tiger. Well, he's tied with him now.

After the way he started yesterday, I'm really surprised.
