Cane Rosso is the best pizza in Dallas, IMHO.

I note that Cavalli serves pepperoni rather than soppressata, which knocks it down a notch in authenticity in my book.

This

Mine was just cheese and sausage and was incredible. I prefer NY style over Chicago style, but DiGiordano's was just amazing

WOW, I was not aware that Shakey's was still around, Is this the same chain that has been around of over 50 years? ..Old piano playing etc.

that was one of my favorite pizzas /crust

Having said that, I know you youngsters have a way to dismiss the local pizza - lol, but I am in Dallas and when in BR, I MUST visit The Pastime under the overpass... still my favorite, and I have eaten many pizzas n NY and Chicago..
Pastime and the Old Shakeys are still my favorites

and believe it or not, at least in Dallas, Sam's Club has a great crust on their little kiosk.

No offense, but Pastime is one of the most shameful excuses for a pizza that I've ever had. Had it twice, 5 years apart, and it was equally pitiful both times.

I like to make pizza at home, and I've made some pretty awesome pies, in my opinion.

One of the best pizzas I've ever had was one I made that had pepperoni, Bailey's andouille, and some meat filling leftover from some Natchitoches Meat Pies I had made.

Cinque Terre, Italy

Great place. We had a blast eating pizza down the train tracks from there in La Spezia. It was a little restaurant called Jimmy's and Jimmy got to be our best buddy despite a complete lack of English (an no Italian on our part). The pizza wasn't really anything special, though.

Honestly my favorite pizza is the Sweep the Kitchen at the Pastime.

Lombardi's in NYC is incredible pizza.

I have to say, I've been to Italy 3 times and was not impressed with their pizza. Everything else, from the food, wine, and scenery is so good I could live there.

Ok... For the hardcore foodies, and I'm one of them... Best pizza ever was at gnocco in the east village manhattan. Very small, non touristy at all. Thin thin crust, if that's what you can call it b/c it's sooo thin and light. Brick oven. Make their own mozzarella, salamis, capicolla, ect. I love the place. I've had lombardi's and I will say this is better. But it's not your plain Jane peperoni kinda place.
