I'm not making any claim about the best pizza, but Louis DeAngello's has a very passable Neopolitan. I don't know of anywhere else in BR with one so if anybody knows please share.

One of the best I've had in LA. Ridiculously expensive though.
Yeah, they are really proud of their pizza, lol.
It's my favorite though...thin & crispy crust, light on the sauce, heavy on the cheese and toppings

Yeah, last time I went to the West Main in Thib., they were really skimpy on the toppings. Disappointing, since I paid like $18 for an 8-inch pizza.

Never been the one in Thib., only the original one in Houma. They normally load it with toppings...a pepperoni pizza comes out looking like one massive pepperoni

This is my favorite. First place we went to when we got to NYC (went to the Brooklyn location). Long wait, but well worth it. Guy sitting next to me (stereotypical Jersey type...also very nice) got so happy when the pizza came. Said out loud, but to himself, "I haven't eaten anything all day waiting for this."
I also had a 4 cheese pizza in Florence, Italy...don't remember the name of the place. The waitress recommended we add olive to it. I like sliced olives on pizza so we said sure. There was 1 or 2 whole olives per slice of pizza, with the pits still in them. Don't know why, but I absolutely loved it. The olives made a huge difference and I'll be making a pie that way at home soon.

Pizza Napoletana - Certified List
It doesn't list Ancora-NOLA. Which is New and definetly makes a pizza by Napoletana rules. That site needs to update. It is the most Italian Pizza you can get in NOLA.

Alesi's in Lafayette. Back in the 70s. Not sure if it's still open.
The texture was extremely flexible, think floppy. Lots of olive oil. The bacon pizza was real fried bacon strips, not Canadian Bacon.

Had to post a pic of Clifton's Pizza Co. pizza...
In Louisville, KY. Definitely not thin crust, nor is it deep dish. Definitely delish, though...

Best pizza I've ever had was some place in NYC. I was young and forgot what it was called. Fluer de lis is my favorite that I can get regularly.

I haven't tried it yet, but been eyeing it up. Ancora's hours never seemed to match up with my hours in New Orleans.
That website lists pizzeria's who have gone through the official ("official") certification process. Just because you follow the rules doesn't necessarily mean you get to hang the sign.

These best ever threads are really tough. I've had a lot of great pizza but sometimes it may have been influenced by atmosphere, the people I'm with and intoxicants. I've had some really great pizza in Amsterdam.
