Well Hell's Bells. Shinichiro Watanabe is back with a prequel to the new Bladerunner movie. It's called Bladerunner Blackout 2022. Looks like they've got it on Crunchyroll

Just caught up (or maybe finished? Not sure if it was a season finale or not) Made in Abyss. Pretty good show with a nice art style. Seems a little kiddy, but can be pretty dark as well. I'd recommend it.

Just announced. Season 2 of Overlord. Will be produced by madhouse.

Fina-fricking-ly.

Anything by Madhouse is fantastic, and never gets a 2nd season, this is like winning $50 in the lottery.

Don't worry. They gave up One Punch Man S2 too.

Apparently Overlord is more popular in Japan than OPM.

Highschool DxD Hero trailer

Not really sure how I feel about the new art style. Really looking forward to it either way

I mean, the art style looks great. It's a definite improvement.

I just get tired of these shonen "action" harems. Judging by how popular they are in Japan, there are a LOT of lonely young men.

Yeah I can definitely feel you on that. DxD is the one that I'm super into though. The author does a solid job of world/lore-building (some of which they cut out in the last season of the anime unfortunately), it has a decent cast of characters, the soundtrack is awesome, and I'm always a sucker for the old-school battle anime power-ups and super moves.

Just got an email from netflix about a Fullmetal Alchemist live-action movie. It looks... horrible.

I wouldn't label it as horrible just yet. It's not a Netflix original, which after Death Note is a good thing. Netflix is just picking it up from the Japanese company. So it's not a big Hollywood production. I think it looks decent considering.

Erased (Series) - the show is pretty amazing. Has a lackluster final episode but everything leading up to the end is great.
Your Name (Movie) - best anime ive ever seen and one of the best movies ive ever seen. Emotional roller coaster.

Just binged One Punch Man and I enjoyed it. It was pretty funny, too.

edit: Watched it subbed, didn't even know they have an English dub.

Bump. Any new recs?

Decided to give Black Clover a shot since I enjoyed the Manga when I used to keep up with it. Very Naruto-esque.

I really liked the series Megalobox.

Cool 13 episode boxing show. Great action and a cool main character.

I finally finished all of Naruto and am about a 3rd of the way into Boruto. Those first 13 or so episodes were a drag but it’s starting to get better. I’ll be caught up in another 40 episodes

Any Shonen recommendations after I’m caught up on boruto? I was thinking maybe my hero academia or hunter x hunter. Naruto and dbz are pretty much the extent of my anime watching so far
