My 12 year old is interested in anime. What is a good series to start him on and where to stream?
Before anyone can answer this question...how sexually suggestive can characters be dressed ?

Get the Funimation app. It has DBZ and lots of other stuff. Dragon Ball Super currently has a bunch of episodes on YoutubeTV as well. Netflix has a bunch of good anime depending on how strict you are. One Punch Man, Naruto, Death Note, Bleach, and Jojo are all good places to start.
I’ve been watching a fair amount of anime during covid.
I always watched just enough to not be a normie, but not enough to connect with weebs. Over the past year, I watched all or significant amounts of Inuyasha, Outlaw Star, Full Metal Alchemist, Yugioh Abridged, Naruto, Food Wars, High School dxd, etc.
I just have to say that Naruto sucks. He’s such an awful annoying character that I don’t think I can stick with this show long enough for it to “get good”.

Naruto is on Netflix and is pretty kid friendly. There’s also not very many busty women walking around compared to other animes
Get ready for that sexy jutsu and of course Jiraiya does what he does.

Get funimation but Netflix has one piece.
Id say for a 12 year he could do the following;
Naruto
One Piece (literally has over 950 episodes)
Hunter X Hunter(contains some intense stuff)
Dragon Ball Z
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (contains some intense stuff)
Any shounen series really. He might be a LITTLE too young for some things but he could enjoy those.

Intense is putting it lightly. It gets crazy.

The best one that's currently running for a 12 year old, imo, is My Hero Academia. It's the perfect show for that age group. Great show, great animation, easy to follow, nothing you have to worry about sexually, violence isn't over the top, just a great show. And it's on HULU.

True but it's confusing because the main character is about 12... but it absolutely has some dark parts to it. Japanese kids don't get the filters like American kids.

Love this anime. Pissed HBOMax only goes through the first half or so of the chimera ant arc
More like a Shaq-pack.
