that the public isn't aware of in regards to the way Les Miles handled the Lee situation? I'll be the first to say that I don't agree one bit with the way Lee was treated, but there is no doubt that there's more to the story than we are all being led to believe. I'm just wondering if we'll ever know what really went down

OK, Lee missed classes, failed, depressed, shite in practices, etc.

Soooooooo?

Demote him and move Mett to #2 who is obviously ready to play. Give him reps, you have over a month, so what is the excuse for not pulling JJ?

What went on behind the scenes is the players all expected Lee to go in and Les Miles had an Eoch Failure.
Quit blaming Lee with some behind the scenes innuendos!
Focus should be on what went on "in front of the scene".

No. That is something that only you have considered. Thanks for sharing your blinding brilliance.

Doubtful. If Lee were in any kind of trouble, it seems kind of odd that players who seemed emotional and willing to speak their minds didn't touch the subject.

Seems to me that Jefferson was Miles' guy because Miles has always liked big, athletic QBs, and once he was able to come back to the team, it was only a matter of time before Jefferson had enough practice to regain his role as a starter.

Personally, I'd rather try to find the best QBs I can find, a system that complements their ability, and receivers who want to play with great QBs. Finding RBs to play in a system like that is relatively easy, and you don't need 6 of them on the roster.

Nope, you are the only person who has thought of this.

Okay - so if we agree there was something going on with Lee, is that why Les had no game plan other than to try what worked on 11/5?

Let's say that Lee was "handled" behind the scenes. Why didn't Les get Mett prepared to play? Could it have been any worse than what occurred?

You are in the title game. You better be prepared to play all the cards in your hand to win it all.

There's a lot of things that have to occur in order to even be considered to play for the title. Look at Auburn a number of years ago and to Oklahoma State this season. You may not be in better position than this year.

The Ole Miss game shows there is clearly more to the story but we know Miles protects players. One reason could be Lee was in trouble academically and they viewed JJ as the guy they can rely on.
