LSU v. Alabama -- BCS NGC 01/09/12 @ Mercedes-Benz Superdome

FINAL BCS STANDINGS
LSU versus Alabama. It was very close but not close enough. Oklahoma State needed 5/6 computers and ~25% of voters. A little surprisingly they only got 4/6 computers with SAGARIN and WOLFE going with Bama. But even if they had gotten one or both computers, they were a handful short on voters.
Amazingly, Oklahoma State picked up very little ground in the Wolfe and Sagarin ratings with a big win over a top 10 team.

So once again, it gets down to human decision making. Hope that enough people oppose a rematch of a "boring" game (I thought it was great) compared to a great story game. Miles against his former school and top offense against a top defense ......

I'm hoping voters stayed up and watched this game

That means if Ok State can jump Stanford in every ballot, they will only need 25% of voters to put them over Bama. If some voters keep Stanford (and they certainly might) above Ok State, it gets tougher and maybe Ok State needs 30-35% of voters to put them over Bama. I can't be sure what voters, but common sense says that at least some voters put the Big 12 champs who destroyed OU and didn't play LSU yet.
It will be close; no doubt. We should know if they are in or out by tomorrow afternoon. They will need to be within ~30 votes of Bama in the Coaches and about 57 in the Harris. The AP poll will come out first and will be a great indicator. If they are within 30 votes in that poll - watch out.
IMO, Gundy needs to sell his team hard post game

I'm a Harris voter. BAMA is 3rd for me.

I am very sure that at least 25% of voters are bright enough not to give a team two shots, while excluding a conference champion who had an amazing season and has not already had their shot

Can we expect any crazy votes? Like bama behind both Stanford and OSU? Or something similar with Boise above a top contender as a means of skewing the game?
