Would listen to it driving back from my gf's every now and then, ESPN BR airs it late at night. I got to hear Phyllis from Mulville go hammer on Cowturd

Even if he was, he'd fumble any award he won over Gurley.

Is there any coach of a successful program that this is not true for? What an asshat.

2 of those 3 were in 2008 and 2012, hardly lean years from Bama. In 2008 you needed OT to beat the worst LSU team of this millennium.
Also never mind that LSU has lost one home game in the last four years, and that was on a busted play at the very end of the game. HFA is a lie because Bear beat up on unremarkable LSU teams in the 60's and 70's. Don't you know that?

/sarcasm
You're wasting your time. Bama has little to no HFA so they are naturally going to crap on anyone elses' because they can't claim they're the best. Nevermind countless testimonials from players/coaches to the contrary.

I hope you guys tighten the grip you have on the state right now. A&M to the SEC has to be on of the most mutually beneficial business decisions in all of sports.
Moved to Louisiana in 2007 (the best year to be a fan of CFB in general, which happened to be a great year for LSU)

Went to school and graduated from LSU and got to watch Peterson, Claiborne, Mathieu, Reid, and all the rest from the student section. Being part of a stadium that truly comes alive is something that sticks with you.

LSU represents a state that has given me the best years of my life. I look back on my 4 years there and see how it helped me grow as a person and a professional, and I'm thankful that I got to be a part of the experience.
That's a neat little nest egg.
Very nice

I love that A&M added a Texas silhouette behind the aTm for their logo. Makes an average helmet logo look pretty sexy, especially on the white helmets.
No, they just opened things up for FSU. There is no non-SEC team in the country that has assembled talent like FSU. It paid dividends last season and probably will again this season. Notice how much whoop-arse they opened up on the rest of their schedule, yet they needed a last-minute comeback against Auburn, who was even with the rest of the best of the SEC.

That we can agree on. It will be a fun race

Also, counting Bama seems like a bit of a stretch since the BCS bowl game they won was against you

Still counts
You're gonna need to beat 3 BCS bowl winners in one season to really sniff 2011 LSU schedule.
I know Chris Paul moved to LA but I wonder if Cliff Paul is still in Louisiana.

Ahh the most time-honored Midwestern tradition: Blame the SEC for cheating. Sounds like Pelini and Bowlsby need to go rent a glass house together.

He doesn't really try to. Although he is a raging narcissistic douche, his music is pretty creative, and doesn't try to be gangster.

If not for 21-0 this would be a no brainer

One is because LSU plays well in Texas.

Does anyone know the last time LSU lost in the Lone Star State?

That is bad arse. Jealous

If only it were a late November game at Lambeau. Still will be pretty cool to be one of the only college teams to have played there.

After Mike of course.

Then I guess I overestimated the REC.

Upsets happen. They don't definitively prove that X is better than Y

I understand that, but when two teams had very similar records against a very similar schedule, why use anything other than head to head?

Even then the head to head doesn't tell the whole story.

Neither does using scores against one common opponent.

State played Bama closer than Ole Miss, but Ole Miss beat LSU who put up 59 against State and ran away from them.

Using results against one common opponent while ignoring others is biased.

You're either missing my point or being intentionally dense.

It's dumb to say Team A is going to do better than Team B because of the way they played Team C in two different games, when in fact Team A and Team B played each other. Use the A vs. B matchup to gauge, not how A did against C vs. how B did against C.

No, but the two touchdowns LSU beat Auburn by did. And that mattered for beans when LSU played Bama. Transitive property is pointless when the teams in question played each other.
