I counted at least 3 times that I could see. This seems to happen every game on the grass. Is tiger field not in as good of condition as we thought? Or is he wearing the wrong cleats?

The next two games are on turf (God willing). Win.

I was wondering the same thing. The field looked pretty beat up early in the game. Not sure what the problem is.

He is just too fast for any cleats.

I noticed it more in the Florida game than any (at home) and the WVU game (away). Thankfully, he stayed on his feet against Bama.

The field is in terrible shape as it always is. But, Joe Alleva refuses to switch to turf and he was Coach K's racquetball partner so he knows a lot about big time football.

He won't ever slip again in his college career.

Yes, but last season after it was resodded the field was in the best shape its ever been. We even had 7 home games last year.

Last year they sprayed to kill the grass before the concert and when it was over it was peeled up and new sod laid down. This season they waited till after the concert and it delayed things about a month.

I thought this was about his draft stock and was excited.

The field is in the worst condition I have ever seen. The sod is coming up in huge chunks, players are slipping, even noticed cheerleaders slipping down. A lot of people are saying the field isn't getting enough sun, I think it is more related to the resodding after the concert each May.

I don't know what the problem is but it is inexcusable for this program to have a field in the conditions that it seems to be in year in and year out. Hell, Nicholls State has a better field that LSU. Granted it is field turf, but never the less, a better field.

Our field is garbage. Everyone associated with its maintenance should be fired

I noticed slipping and not just by MC.

Miles said the field was in great shape and gave cudos to the field crew??

Imagine if he hadn't slipped what kind of year he would be having!

More tongue in cheek than anything. I dont recall miles saying anything in years past and the field was in much better shape.

Just think we might have 8 games next season, it'll be a mud pit by the 8th game. We've been really lucky in terms of not raining on gameday the past couple of years.

I remember the gumps had to bring in fans to blow on their grass, especially after their expansion. .

Gump Grass

Like someone said, an addition will make things even more problematic.

You people are crazy. The grass is still green and looks as good as ever. The problem is watering. Why they insist on a soft wet field I'll never know.
