I agree with him. I don't buy the "uniform as a recruiting tool" argument. Alabama has one of the simplest uniforms in CFB and consistently pulls in stellar classes.
It is a recruiting tool for certain types of schools. Oregon is not a traditional power with a ton of easily-accessible talent, so they have to rely on things like that. Not all high school football players are alike. A lot of high school kids can be attracted to the uniform as a perk. LSU and Alabama have the luxury of relying on tradition. Schools like Oregon and Maryland have no tradition to rely upon, so they go for attention. It works on some level.

I don't either. ALl that's at stake and a kid cares only about wearing a different, and most of them ugly as hell ...uniform every week? No way in hell. Had some friends that were highly recruited, my brother was recruited and uniform is fairly low on the list of criteria.

It's kinda weak to drag RS into this conversation.

Mingo vs. Fluker on passing downs will be absolutely hilarious. Fluker's slow feet coupled with Mingo's edge burst is going to keep Alabama from being able to go deep. Not that our Secondary wouldn't already prevent that.

Just to add to what he said, this is coming from a kid that played for a school that doesn't wear the same combo twice in the same year usually. WM has 2 helmets, 4-5 jerseys, 4-5 pants, 4 socks. I was worried at first when he said most high school kids like different unis each week. Glad he finished the statement the way he did.
