Mix of ages from 9 yr old's to 75 yr old's. Thought about grilling but seems too damn hot outside, spaghetti and meatballs seems too heavy, would like to not break the bank also.???

Any picky eaters? The issue is that it is too damn hot to serve what is usually good for groups (braises, etc...)
I'd spatchcock a few chickens (cut out backbone) rub down with garlic, oregano, rosemary, chili flake and olive oil and either grill it or roast in oven. Everyone likes chicken.

Do two recipes of meatloaf. After taking them out of the oven, crank it up a bit, roast some zuchhini, squash, red onion.

If you wrap a few bricks in foil and use it to weigh down the chicken, will get a crispier skin. Which is the whole point of the chicken.

I like to make a big ole pasta salad bar for a big group. Ham, turkey, chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, (you get the picture) and let everybody make their own salad. It's cool, it's kind of light, and who doesn't like pasta?

If you have a smoker, you could do pulled pork or brisket. You only need to periodically check your temps so it wouldn't be too bad with the heat.

Jambalaya, white beans, salad, and mac n'cheese. Little something for a variety of tastes.

Meet on the smoker, or drunk chicken on the grill, pasta salad, baked beans in the crock, rolls and green salad.
Taco Bar
Roast in the crock.

Three starches. A perfectly balanced meal.
