Any actors or actresses that you refuse to see their movies because of their political/religious beliefs?
I think Sean Penn is creeping up on my list as the only on...

Saturday night at the annual White House Correspondents Association dinner … Penn caused a stir right off the bat when he wouldn’t follow everyone else in putting his hand over his heart as the room stood and sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Hilton International Ballroom.
The surly star then spent dinner all over new flame Scarlett Johansson. “She plopped down in his lap, and they were kissing,” described a shocked witness. The two left the room for “an hour,” sources said, and Penn came back to the table with his tie askew.

Yes. I refuse to watch Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn. Its at the point where I have to see how politically annoying they are on 30 Rock before I'll watch the episode. The one they did where the personified every single old Republican as hating blacks and women and shite wasn't even funny, it was annoying. Fwiw, I'm not a Republican.

If George Clooney wasn't as good an actor as he is, I'd avoid him too.

I guess I'll get the stick out of my arse
I just find it hard to get in to characters when I can't stand them as people.

I used to avoid Sean Penn movies, then I just frick it...if the movie's good, I want to see it. It's not like I'm going to watch him give a speech.

I only avoid actors/actresses who are terrible at their jobs, not because of their political beliefs

I avoid all movies or television shows that has any Jewish contributors to it at all. Writers, Directors, Producers, Actors or Actresses...anyone.

I avoid Morgan Spurlock films because they are overtly political and he has nothing interesting to say.
But other than that, no.

Not really. It's hard to do with that movies because their beliefs often don't creep into their performance or film (in general). Music on the other hand.....
You might be able to say that about directors though quite easily.
I generally don't like Sean Penn's choice of film anyway. I think the last movie he was in that I liked was 21 Grams.

Is that shallow? I figure if you hate someone its ok if you dont want to support their movies.
On the other hand, like me, I hate Tom Cruise with a passion. Not because of his political views but rather because he has completely called it in as an actor. But I go see his movies just to see how bad its gotten and so I can make fun of him.
