Pat could bench 225 one time when he got to LSU which was just 3 years ago so 15 is a pretty good number for him. he might not be naturally strong on bench.

I never heard of extreme anxiety describing Patrick Peterson. But him being amped up has well been documented as his source of cramps.

"By me just staying calm the cramps have diminished," Peterson said. "The last couple weeks I've been doing pretty good — no cramps."

LSU coach Les Miles agreed with Peterson's assessment.

"The cramp issue, many times, can be anxiety for the first game or the opportunity to be on the road for the first time," Miles said.

Me too.

But if anyone wants to question how strong he tackles go watch PP7 take on Trent Richardson at the goal line.

This shite was widely reported during the year. 15 reps is fine for is position.

Richardson is the strongest cat on the Bama team, so that was all I need to see.

I'm still wondering why bench press matters at all.

He's saving his upper body strength for the 40 tomorrow.

I'm serious (I think).

Very overrated, particularly among skill position players.

whichever team drafts him better monitor his body shaping

PP7 has long arms.. aka difficult time benching. His cone drills will be unreal I bet.

Because I don't blame Peterson's cramps on "extreme anxiety". What the frick does that even mean? Do you talk to him during the game or something?

whether or not I agree with your points in this thread, this is WAY off. Why the hell else would he cramp?

This is sort of a well known thing.

368, no way in hell, and for someone who is damn near 220 and a college athlete its not that great. Im a buck 80 on a good day and the only sports play are beer pong and flip cup and lift more than that.

Moffit is the best conditioning coach in the country. I've seen him work in person and he really is awesome.

And you've observed all the other strength coaches as well, and analyzed improvement across schools.

I'm so sick of this statement that so many accept as fact but which is absolutely unprovable.

He's been a member of 3 different national championship winning teams (I think it's 3).

I believe that alone puts him at or near #1. Again -- it's not an unfounded assertion -- his results speak for themselves. Unless of course there are other S&C coaches who have a better resume.. but i'd love to see it.

Yea, I also don't understand why people just assume (and that is what most are doing) that Moffitt is the best conditioning coach in the country.

It is pretty clear that conditioning has been an issue with LSU players for the past few years. Just yesterday one scout at the Combine said that what is hurting Drake Nevis' draft stock more than anything is...you guessed it...his conditioning. He said that Nevis simply cannot withstand constant pounding and will in fact wear down.

Not sure if this is an appropriate reference point, but I remember watching Knile Davis and the Arkansas OL just flat out kick our asses on that last drive where they ran the ball up the middle just about every single play.

Again -- what s&c coach in the industry has a better resume than Moffitt?

I'm still waiting
