I need some... All levels of cooks and chefs, if you were redoing, or new construction, what combination of kitchen appliances would you reccomend. Wolf range and Sub Zero, Viking and Thermador, combination of either, and why, etc..Gas will be used..
BTW, the wife doesn't cook, but, she likes the "red knobs"...

All of the above ranges are about the same as what I will suggest you take a peek at, La Cornue. The F'ing Rolls Royce of stoves.

If your looking at wolf and viking go wolf... i personally do not have one, but was involved in the research of buying and outfitting the appliances for the ex's parents kitchen. Wolf is definitely the way to go... viking seems to have branched out a little too much... She bought the 8 burner double oven set up. and if you go wolf, then you go sub-zero cause its the same company.

I've had Viking and Thermador - Thermador is much better out of those two.

Must be a non-cooking thing. Red knobs make no sense. How would you know if they were hot?

You may want to look at the GE Monogram Series.

take it from a builder, viking and wolf are over priced for what you get.

i'd go cheap as hell on the inside and build the most retarded outdoor kitchen ever. but that's just me...

Themador. The simmer feature on this brand is really handy. Never had any problem with mine it was awesome and I loved cooking on it. This has been asked before and someone posted a lengthy response about how Thermador had a better design and construction of their burners.

You should take a look at Blue Star Range. It is as close to a true commercial range there is. You get 22k btu burners and ovens that can hold full commercial sheet pans. You can order the knobs in any one of 190 colors so there are about 10 shades of red to choose. also can get the range in any of those colors. Cheeper than Viking and Wolf and will cook circles around them. Check out Bluestarcooking.com

Geauxt.
If you have any questions I can put you in touch with the people who know a whole lot about Kitchens and Appliances
In what part of the state do you reside?

When I built on 2007, my research showed Capital as a top manufacturer. It was started buy the management of another stove company. I don’t know how they compare to what is being produced today but I have been happy…

we just re-did our kitchen. what i like the most and what we get the most compliments on is the undermounted sink. its just one big basin..no dividers. i can fit my big pots in there easy. we also got a magic faucet that you turn on by touching. its pretty neat to.
of course you need double ovens, gas stove, maybe a warming drawer and a wine fridge?
