We have finished 8-5, 9-4, now 10-2 over the last 3 years and hell we play in the toughest conference. Our offense has been terrible over these 3 years. What gives Texas ( my massacre analogy) finished 5-7 this year what can we say that has kept us from falling into ranks of the sub .500 or non bowl eligible ranks?? Is it coaching?? Is it our outstanding recruiting?? Texas has been in the Top 5 in recruiting the last 5 years. Feedback please !!!

Texas looked so pathetic at times, it really looks like they gave up. Some injuries and a rookie QB but the leadership was awful. If the recruiting rankings are anywhere close to being correct, then Mack and his minions really bungled this year. Which explains why heads are rolling in Austin.

A perfect storm but coaching is the main factor.

Our guys play hard and will never give up. These young guys love Les and have faith in him.

yep...sure looks to be the case. I've said it here before but for all the criticism Miles has taken, this team has overachieved and that to me is at least partly attributable to good coaching. Think about it, this team won 10 games with one of the worst offenses in the country!! It's no accident that they still pulled out 10 wins. Look at the schools that didn't get consistent QB play, such as Texas and Florida, and you see just how great a job these guys did in getting to 10 wins and just being a touchdown away from being in a BCS Bowl.

Best thread posted in a while. We really do have alot to be thankful for. WE tend to focus on fixing what ails us and very little time considering our blessings. Perhaps this is the logic Miles and staff utilize to gain such good recruiting classes each year. The other piece of this that hasn't been discussed on this thread is that for the most part the team and staff have done this without any off field incidents. This also speaks to quality of recruits that Miles and staff recruit. Thanks Coach and Geaux Tigers

Good words, needed words, and you have to admit the W's keep piling up for our clean & well run program.

Don't ever say that it couldn't get worse. We should be very thankful and hopeful for the future. Next year, & the bowl game are gonna be fun.

I thought Les was supposed to be tight with Satan. Maybe that 'splains it.

Love him or not, Les Miles is a football coach. He knows enough about the sport--and teaching it to young men--that he can get a team of great athletes playing at a high level year in and out.

Mack Brown used to be a football coach, but he became a CEO/P.R. guy. He's tried slogans, special t-shirts, special bracelets, etc. to motivate the 2010 Longhorns and none of it worked.

Now Mack has fired his O.C., O.L. coach, WR coach, and possibly another, and will be reassigning "Fat Dog" Madden, the S&C Coach. Because Mack got soft in the CEO/P.R. role, his team got soft, and now the Texas program is a dumpster fire
