Noticed this place when I was at Maxwell's off of Highland today so I walked over to pick up a menu. The menu looks incredible. Have any of you been to this place yet?

Easy on the exclamation points junior. We don't need to scream in here. It's good. I'll give ya that Wayne. But you're acting like it's Johnny's Pizza or something.

funny.
went yesterday with 2 buddies......
garlic butter served with the bread is awesome. plain and simple. i ate too much of it.
appetizer of boudin spring rolls. interesting concept.....boudin was pretty good, and the spring rolls were full of boudin......probably wont order again, but will eat one if its left on the table.
i ordered shrimp and grits ("Stone Ground Grits and Shrimp Grillades")....served in a cast iron skillet .. rich roux gravy surrounded a mound of pepperjack cheese stone grits. very good. didnt eat it all. would order again.
a buddy had the thursday special of rabbit stew. it too, was served in a cast iron skillet......i thought the rabbit was pretty good - stew had a little sherry in it, hint of sweet. he wasnt crazy about it.
other buddy ordered the fried oyster poboy salad. "the oysters arent casamentos, but they are pretty good." we laughed.
all in all, will go definately go back. plan on trying the evening menu soon......
good spot. glad to have in the area.

We went last night and loved it. I agree about the previous poster's comments about the bread. We also had the cornbread, which was good. My wife had the shrimp and grits. She loved it but couldn't finish it all. Now for me, I had the chicken and waffles. UNREAL. The chicken was so crispy, yet moist. The waffles were good. I could do without the Jack Daniels in the syrup, but overall it was an excellent dish. For an appetizer and two entrees (no drinks), we were out the door for $55 plus tip.

I had the shrimp and grits as well and think the same. Very good. The cast iron oyster app was good as well.
Wife had the chicken and liked it. Want to know why it is so crispy yet moist? Yep...you guessed it...they BRINE the chicken.

Everyone ... I hate to write bad reviews but le Creole is bad.
Wayne Stablier got it right with Little Village but man o man has Le Creole missed the mark.
My wife and I arrived at about 6:15 on Friday night. Noticeably the restaurant was mostly empty ... I say that because there was at least 15 waiter/waitresses and maybe 8 dinners. I felt uncomfortable about all the white suits from the beginning and it only got worse.
Our waitress was very friendly and very informed about the entrees but from the get go I felt rushed.
Wife order the filet special. The steak was cooked well but the crab meat topping was dry with no sauce/butter/etc. Basically bland. It was served on a bed of diced potatoes and audoine sausage that was just ..... not good.
I had the rabbit entree. It was fried rabbit that was a tough as the belt I was wearing. I had to cut it with a steak knife whereas I should have been able to cut it with a fork. It was served over a bed of grits/mushrooms. They were OK.
Gumbo appetizer (chicken/audione) was very good!
In and out in about a hour and $130 lighter in the wallet ..... not worth it ... bad food and overall bad experience !!!!!!
Hey, other that the nice waitress, I wish I could write something positive but I can't ... I'll never go back :(
Steak special $50
Rabbit Entree $30
Gumbo $12
Glass of merlot $12
Special Margitria $10

I hate to be "that" guy......
but 34 Posts, and 33 on The Rant?
You wouldnt have an agenda, would you?
"a little uncomfortable with all the white suits" - what did you expect? i suggest not attempting a fine dining establishment in the future.....you will get a lot of that.
its andouille, not audoine"
"dinner" is what you eat, diner is what you are
Sorry, your post "missed the mark" - but hey, we can all post what we think and each is entitled to his/her own opinion.

Is really just an add-on for the restaurant to add to revenue. The combination makes no sense.

How can anyone take a review seriously that spells andouille that way?
