Offense: Florida is way better
Defense: about even
Special Teams: about even
Coaching: NOT CLOSE
Home Field Advantage/Emotion: Florida, big
Penalties: Edge to Florida
In Game Adjustments: Florida, big
Game prep and plan: Florida, big
Turnovers: wildcard

I see:
LSU-13

I approve of this message

ETA: I do not approve of the edited message. UF's offense is in no way leaps and bounds better than our offense. In fact, with JJ and JL trading time I say it's a push. If JL would take all the snaps, I would give the nod to our O.

Also, if Pouncey has had a hard time snapping the ball so far this season, wait until Nevis is lined up across from him.

both teams with good defense, both teams with issues on offense, both teams with playmakers, it could go either way. I predict much excitement, stress, and complaining from LSU fans.

Florida's offense really, really sucks. Which makes them only slightly better than LSU's.

I just don't see how our offense is going to do anything in this game. I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't score a TD.

Florida has their share of offensive woes. Better. not WAY better

I'll give Fla the home field advantage. But as far as emotion, this Fla team is coming off of a pretty demoralizing loss to Bama.

I feel like you are pulling this out of your arse because you, and many others, believe that LSU's entire coaching staff are morons. Be objective.

All that said. We already have a "Prediction Thread"

have you watched or even read stats on florida's offense or have you just seen LSU's and assume UF has a way better offense?

You apparently didn't bother to review any statistics or SOS comparisons.

Offense: Passing is virtually even and LSU has a huge rushing advantage.
Defense: Not about even, not even close. Florida allows 3.7 yds/carry and over 100 yds per game.
LSU is far better on run D and a little better on passing D.
ST: Florida is not very good on punt coverage and we are among the best returning punts. Their punter is now their kicker due to a back injury.
Coaching: agree
HFA: have you been to TS this year, the Swamp will be less hostile.
Penalties: About even
Turnovers: Florida is just about leading the country in fumbles/fumbled snaps. Our D line is going to create some problems with Nevis over Pouncey.

If we want to be a realist, then we must be willing to admit that Alabama's defense- which is very similar to LSU's- had their way with the Fighting Brantleys. Yes- Florida had turnovers- but don't think for a minute some weren't caused by the swarming defense that was on their arse most of the night.

I'd look for them to have a few major issues against Nevis & Company.....

Their offense was better last year and our defense worse, and look at the score...

This game will be low scoring and a defensive struggle, which helps LSU. Just need the offense to step up, but Urban seems to have Les and Gary's offense figured out....

Florida is nothing special this year

Disagree

Defense - Advantage LSU

Four of your categories are coaching related. I agree that if it comes down to in game coaching we are f-ed.

The way I see it

Offense - Florida, but against our D they will be bad

Defense - LSU

Special Teams - LSU (hope it comes down to FG's because their kicker sucks

Home Field advantage - Huge Florida obviously

Sadly this is a Florida team that would be ripe for the picking if we had an adequate coach.

I see you have not watched much Gator football this season. I'm not sure their offense is as good as LSU's, much less "way better". I think LSU has a better rushing attack than UF, partially due to their unjuries in the backfield. Brantley is talented but does not have a better arm than Lee. Playcalling, and who is actually quarterbacking for the Tigers, will have a bigger influence on the outcome of this game than any perceived edge by either team. Prior to last week LSU had a substancial edge on strength of opponents over the Gators so stats. alone should not be utilized to gauge these two teams IMO.

I would say our defense is better. At least it was when we had Montgomery. I would also say our special teams are better.

You know there is a large difference between being a realist and a pessimist, right?
