The only reason this guy gets the accolades is because of his size and speed. The only time he does anything is if someone is coming over the middle. How is he a 1st Rd. pick is beyond me. He sucks.
I'm sure there's people that will disagree here but IDGAF.

This is my second time watching him this season but he doesn't look very sharp. I completely agree with the commentators about him not playing angles right. He's always looking to make the big hit though. Very landry-esque

he will not be a 1st rd pick. I really don't think he has what it takes. He takes poor angles he is a liability in coverage. Reminds me of Darnell Bing but bigger. Bing was a USC safety

His straightline speed is up there considering his size bu his quickness (ability to adjust quickly with a burst) is just not there. I'd like to hear why sfp has to say

Agree. Will be a 1st round player. He has the physical qualities with an upside on potential. I wouldn't say he's mediocre. Overrated maybe but he's still one of the best safeties in cfball

Good point. You just reminded me because he's always been praised about having 4.2 speed. He just got smoked by the BC WR and he got outrun like he runs a 4.9.

He got smoked because he took a really bad angle and was unable to adjust quickly. Like i said myabe he has the straightline speed. His combine performane will tell all

and most importantly, he plays for usc.
i was waiting for to see that "sub 4.3" speed in action when he was chasing the wr from behind or trying to beat the RB to the goaline. but of course it never happened.
when you compare his media hype to his actual on the field performance, mays has to rank as one of the most overrated college football players in recent memory.

I agree. Most players time slower at the combine because they actually use electronic timing.
As for the 4.2 bs.....very few people actually run this fast. 4.3 might be believable. Maybe.

He's a Sean Taylor wanna be.
I have been seeing him fall on some draft sites to mid/late-1st round level though. He was projected top 5 last year

bad angle or not, the guy was running away from him. If he was as fast as they claim, that WR wouldn't be pulling away from him so fast.
