I've watched several texas games this year, and I hate to say it, but they have been getting just as many questionable calls in their favor as florida and alabama. They've just haven't been as blatant or publicized as the blown sec calls.
The colorado and ucf games especially were bad with the calls texas was getting.
So for all you who are sayin hook em, you're sayin that for the wrong reason if you're goin against the sec because of the officiating.

The QB (Colt McCoy) is the main attraction,
but the whole team is playing well.

Their D has improved drastically over last year.
They are probably only allowing around 17 points per game...and scoring in the high 30's-low 40's on Off.

Texas has always been my 2nd team after the Tigers, I would be suprised if they do not beat either Bama or Florida.

They have great fans, not lowland retreads like Bama.

Mack Brown is a classy coach, with some LSU roots...

In 1982, he moved to LSU as the Quarterbacks Coach.

Brown's first head coaching job came in 1983 when he led Appalachian State to a 6–5 record. After losing out to Bill Arnsparger for the vacant head coaching position at LSU, Brown then moved back to a supporting role as offensive coordinator for the Oklahoma Sooners during the 1984 season.

right now im a fan of a UT v UF national championship. And I hope UT wins it. I couldn't stand Florida getting the hat trick, or the love fest of Tebow, which would reach an all-time high.

Was known? He died?
I'm not saying some of you don't have reason to go for texas over someone else. I'm saying the people that are crying over the officiating, and for that reason are going for texas.
I've cheered for texas plenty of times, but the argument that the sec officials are the only ones helping out their teams is naïve.

Their D is pretty good, but one thing to note is that they have an offense that keeps their D off the field a lot of minutes every game.

When you are putting up 30+ pts per game, it helps your D stay fresher and be able to take quite a bit more chances with blitzes, etc. versus the "bend but don't break" mode - which as we know, lends itself to longer "time of possession".

Their D is terrific. Their run defense allows only 1.8 yards per carry I think, 2nd best in the country. I will say that I am Texas biased...born n raised.

I know this happened a few years ago but it is still worth watching. The Big 12 officials are just as shady as the SEC officials.

UT's schedule is a joke.
Best win vs mediocre OkSt. And the remaining games (including Big12 ship) are a total joke.

Not saying they can't be good, but to quote their stats is stupid.

Saw them play live against UTEP--took them awhile to get going, McCoy didn't have his best day. Have seen them on TV a couple times. I have two kids in school at UT.

Shipley is very good, obviously.

Defense looked like it was distracted after awhile during the game.

They're beatable, just like any team.

If they're firing on all cylinders, UT vs The Lizards is a tight game.

If they're firing on all cylinders, against Bammer, unless McElroy is playing lights-out and the rest of Bammer is playing well, UT wins.

As a LSU fan I've lived in Austin,Tx. for 19 years.Yeah,I've watched TX. and nothing but the big 12 for way toooooo long!

Tx. IS WAY OVER RATED AND SET UP LIKE BOWLING PINS FOR EITHER FLA.OR BAMA !

TEXAS has NOT beaten one good team.
If they do make the bcs Championship game vs. Fla/bama I'm betting my house on the SEC TEAM regardless on the point spread!

Check the SEC RECORD IN BCS GAMES.

The only thing Mac Brown can do is recruit and get others to coach. He has changed Off/Def Coordenators like underwear for the last 12 years.
