One of my fondest memories was walking out of the stadium after we beat ASU in 2005 in Tempe. I got some good natured ribbing during the game from those sitting around me but most of them were pretty cool. Some started throwing Katrina related insults which annoyed me though.

The best part was walking out though. I was wearing an LSU hat and t-shirt and people were getting pissed off just looking at me. I couldn't contain my ear to ear grin... it was priceless.

I'll say for the most part wearing LSU gear outside of Louisiana has gotten me some pretty good perks.

We went to Fenway for a 3 game series in July vs. Seattle. I was wearing a LSU shirt and hat to game two of the series. After the game we were taking pictures behind home plate. A security guy came up and started talking about LSU with us. Long story short he has family in La. and loves LSU. He gave us some foul balls and got us into the game the next day for free. Not only that he took us on the field for BP and we got to hang out in the dugout before the game. Even got to talk to Perdoria for a few minutes. He let us up on the Monstar and we ended up just watching the game up there. The whole day was awesome and it was all because of my LSU shirt and hat.

The second time was on the way home from Seattle. We had a 4 hour hour layover in Dallas so we decided to go check out the 1.7 billion dollar Cowboy stadium. So, we get to the stadium and i have a booksack on and we are rolling around 2 pieces of luggage that my buddy checked on the plane looking like some typical tourist. We walk right into the stadium like we owned it and started walking around taking pictures. All of a sudden some guys come off of an elevator and its 4 construction guys. 3 working hands and a supervisor looking type. The supervisor looks at us and says. "Only LSU fans would walk into a brand new stadium and walk around like they own it!" We had a laugh and come to find out this guy was the boss over all of the electrical work in the stadium and was from Baton Rouge. So, we talk with him for a bit and he offers to show us around the stadium. We don't get on any tour that was going on, he locked out bags in a room and brought us to the locker rooms, the cheerleader locker room, told us a lot about the stadium and got a pretty good VIP tour of the stadium all because of our LSU gear. This guy was getting off of work and didn't have to be there but for some Tiger fans he didn't mind one bit.

So, anytime I'm out of state, I am always wearing my purple and gold because you never know who your going to run into and what kind of conversation your gonna get into, and I just like to wear LSU gear all the time. A lot of people love the Tigers and they will come up and tell you and conversations are started.

"Geaux Tigers'' response to my gear has come from security guards in Iraq, Amsterdam, France, Moscow, Dubai and Costa Rica. Never has anyone been so happy as I when ESPN announced last year that ESPN Deportes signed a contract to carry SEC football this year. GEAUX TIGERS!!! Now I can watch them from mi casa.

My son travels the world, literally, in his job with Marriott. He is always garbed in LSU tees, shirts, etc. and always welcomed with smiles and comments of welcome and admiration. He has seen LSU caps and tees in Hong Kong, India, the Caribbean, etc. and they are all kin in their love of the Tigers!! He always gets a high five or a "Go Tigers".

Well, first of all, people do not really like S. Cal because they have too many braggards, such as yourself, and too many arse Holes, such as yourself.

So, I can see where advertising that you are a So Cal fan might show you in a disfavorable light.

I can't recall getting anything like this. In fact it's usually just the opposite, I have had people buy myself and Mrs. Brusly's dinner in Atlanta. I have had a great time in Jacksonville, FL with a large group of GA, Florida and Florida State fans at a bar on Sundays watching the Saints play. The most unusual would have to be the gumps I ran into in San Fransisco that I had drinks and dinner with because I "Tiger Baited" them on Fisher Wharf.

I live in Alabama and went to the Bama FIU game with my wife and daughter, both of which are Bama fans. I was decked out with my LSU cap and baseball NC t-shirt walking around in a sea of red. Believe it or not they took it pretty well, not harrassed too much!

Only problem I've ever had with it was in 2003, and I went with some family to the Egg Bowl and wore my LSU stuff (on Thanksgiving night after Eli fell down the previous Saturday). No problems before the game, but it was a blowout at halftime and I walked under the stadium to get out of the rain and several ole miss fans tried to start some stuff, but the State fans were all chanting L-S-U, L-S-U, which was actually pretty cool.
