One, a Triple Crown winner is not as significant as Michael Jordan theoretically having a rival throughout his playing career.

I don't know the 1st crown winner in 30 yrs is pretty significant, but I see your logic.

Agreed. That would have been the best quote out of all mentioned.

peter was sick as a kid (not sure if they've said how/why he was sick) and died. walter couldnt accept it and created the device to "open the window" to the alternate reality/universe so that he could basically kidnap the kid peter from that universe. so the adult peter on the show now is peter from the alternate reality, but doesnt know it.

Will we see the Walter from the other reality come to our reality to try to retrieve his son in the next season?

I think there is a definite possibility, but we could actually see "alternate" versions of any character show up. Olivia is in the alternate world now, will she bump into herself?

Depends on how she travels there. Going through the portal machine possibly, but when she "jumped" before on her own I think she switched places with her alter.

yea that is an interesting idea. hopefully in the second season theyll flesh out how the traveling between realities works.

Was there any significance to the place she was waiting to meet Bell before going into the elevator?? Is that hotel/restaurant on the grounds of the WTC or something?? Trying to figure out why that was a soft spot...

they didnt specifically say anything about that spot being special, but since nina told dunham to meet there it seems that massive dynamic likely knew that the area was a soft spot. the end was kind of confusing. it seems that dunham passed through the window to the alternate reality and then also teleported to a different location (the WTC).

The portal machine we saw used was based on Walter's 1st generation equipment that he likely used for little more than kidnapping alter Peter. Bell has been tinkering with that technology for 20 years with help from alternate universes. At least that's how I'd explain it away. In reality I think it's like the Len Bias reference and nothing says best reality like the Twin Towers still standing, so they hoped people wouldn't think too much about the actual details.

Kickass episode. The first half of the season didn't knock me out. But since episode 7 or so it's been great. I like where they are taking it. Very imaginative and will look forward to observing more about the alternative reality and the observer himself.

I agree. I stumbled into this show halfway into the year and am really into it. I will have to catch up over the summer.

This show has HUGE potential in becomming a runaway hit in season two if they don't get too kooky with the storyline.

I was out of the room for the scene where Walter was with the observer at the beach. Did he do anything besides tell Walter he had to remember something there?

I wonder how long they'll keep us in the dark on him? Obviously the observer wanted Jones stopped and to protect Bell or else he wouldn't have helped Walter. He also presumably knows about Walter kidnapping alter Peter and supposedly saved their lives from drowning once. Was that perhaps at Reine Lake (or whatever it was called) right when Walter kidnapped alter Peter?

I believe it was in the mid season episode where the Observer was the focus that ended with Peter and Olivia chasing the Observer in the woods. My memory's a bit fuzzy but I think Walter was retelling it to Peter in a diner explaining that he had seen the mysterious observer before.

I still wonder whats the deal with Fox not having the first 2 episodes available online. Anyone know if there is any way to watch them?

Great season and I can't wait for the next.

My only problem with how this one ended was the explanation of the "alternate reality or universe". If it happened like they said that when you make a decision your timeline branches off, wouldn't their be an infinite number of alternate realities then? I guess they have just maybe found a way to cross over into one of them?
