Getting new smoker gonna break it in with some brisket

Can't wait!

Been awhile since I did some serious beef smoking. I am the master of the brisket.

Oh, and TN pork bbq sucks. "Discuss"

BBQ is pork. Beef is for steaks and pot roast. Brisket sucks. Designed for bad meat. Do yourself a favor and smoke a pork butt.

ive had a smoker for a year and have yet to do a brisket. i either do pork, salmon or tri-tip.

That has to be one of the dumbest opinions I've ever heard. BBQ can be either beef or pork. Hell, it could be fish if you wanted to. BBQ is a style of cooking.

no offense guys but this is one of the silliest pissing contests i've seen in a while.

i LOVE BBQ. i don't care what it is: pork, beef, chicken, turkey...you name it, i've put it on the pit and smoked the hell out of it. ribs from memphis? pork from carolina? brisket from texas? all fantastically delicious. fancy rub or just a little salt/pepper? both good to go in my book. vinegar or tomato based? i like em both.

you are free to have preferences; personally, i like them all. but don't get crazy and claim that only one is REAL BBQ because that is just plain ridiculous.

just eat, drink, and be happy people...

its a slow sunday what can i say?

but the pork 'purists' tend to be a little L33T when it comes to BBQ (much like Apple users) so I feel the need to knock them off their high horse occassionally.

They obviously haven't had a good brisket before or they'd shut up about pork being the 'only' true bbq.

your brisket looks great. im far from a pork purists, although i think pulled pork is the cream of the bbq crop. my problem was when cad said bbq=beef.
