Is this the worst bullpen in LSU history since Skip took over?

Bullpen isn’t nearly as bad as you think. They would all be elite pitchers on any other team. The problem is just coaching. That’s it. If you don’t change the coaches then don’t expect a different result next year. In fact next year could be worse given the talent we’re losing this year.

This is true, but not because of your retarded melting.

So why were they good last year with the same coaches?

You are aware we bring back every one of our best pitchers outside of Cowan, right?

Because they had 2 all world starting pitchers that were able to mask any potential bullpen problems.

Smoke wasn't ever this bad was he ? Pulmonary had his moments, but this has just cratered. It's time for a new recruiting coordinator, a new pitching coach, and the hitting coach that everyone wants except Jay.

This bullpen would look completely different if they had 2025 defense playing behind them. How many times have we seen a pitcher come in do his job and get a routine ground ball to get out of an inning and the defense makes an error.

Whose the hitting coach you are referring to that we all want except Jay?

At least 2x for every loss we have in the SEC. Not many games this year where we were fully out classed. We have literally thrown away 6 wins with errors.

It's gotta be the worst lineup of starting pitchers and relievers, by far, since Skip came onto the campus. There's not one guy in the starting rotation who can give you more than four or five good innings. And the bullpen is simply atrocious.

Even in the years under Smoke and Maineiri that we didn't make the tourney there were always one or two good starters and a couple of relievers who could settle things down. Lane Mestepay in the Smoke era and Kevin Gausman and Manny Ott back in 2011 come to mind. This year's team is monumentally poor, with the exception of three players-- Milam, Curiel and Serna. All the pitchers need to geaux

I was going to argue with you but you know what you are right. This team has terrible coaches who have never accomplished anything.

How about the fact that Jay just put together a historically bad season that we haven’t seen in over 40 years? How about the fact that he has hired assistant coaches that have failed to develop and help talented players reach their potential? Why can’t you do simple analysis to see this is who he is when he doesn’t have elite high end talent? The last two coaches that we’ve had that put together historically bad seasons didn’t last long here. I can promise you one thing, baseball won’t be much better next year and it may be worse. I know he won’t be fired, but I’ve realized early who he is and you’ll come around in a year or two.

There are enough examples of players here that have developed and reached their potential that the blame for ones that didn't should fall on the players themselves.

There are more coaches that lose with elite talent than win without it. But go on and list all those coaches winning without elite talent.

Jay Johnson Coached teams, including this year, will have won 2 championships in the past 5 years.

Again, are you retarded?
