In the past I wouldn't have thought this but after seeing Luigi Mangione being admired as a hero I can see this guy escaping justice.

I'm no SFP...but the targeting of federal officials....does that change the mechanics of this compared to a run-of-the mill D.C. shooting?

Federal Court, not local

He should be made to stay awake for days and interrogated until there's nothing more they can get from him and taken out back to the firing squad.
No trial.
No trial.

Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity

Where will he be tried, the Bahamas?

It will be extremely to get a DC Judge to appropriately have a trial on this guy. I fully expect the case to randomly be assigned to Judge Boasberg.

Federal Court
it was an attempt on the life of the President
Do you think that would be prosecuted on the local level?

Jury pool in federal court would still be from a dark blue district.
Posted on 4/26/26 at 12:25 pm to OWLFAN86
Do you know who the US District Court for DC’s jury pool is?
Posted on 4/26/26 at 12:27 pm to JimEverett
A DC jury will convict him for not being successful.... there's no justice in DC judicial system.
