Can’t even remember which sec team they beat last in the past month. Was it Tennessee? Or
Kentucky?

I was buying it. Several starters from last year. Leadership. Just not happening this season

Maybe we should stop consuming sports media so much.

3 weeks into the season I remember seeing the words “no weaknesses” posted by board experts

most talented team

Most talented group of players does not equal a great or even good team. We are seeing that.

Lesson #1 of the portal

To quote Kurt Russell as Herb Brooks in Miracle
“I’m not looking for the best players, Craig. I’m looking for the right ones.”

We had no proven veteran leadership and were relying on too many player to make a leap. Too many variables. (Not to say they aren't or weren't good last year.)

Dylan Crews/Bear Jones for example had already proven themselves to be 20 HR guys and they STILL came up empty until their JR years.

Moscona also said Lsu would have at least 10 players drafted in this NFL draft. Dude is smoking serious purple something.

I don’t understand why you think this is so far off. The talent is there. Every one of our starting pitchers will be drafted. We have multiple likely first round picks in the field and multiple highly touted freshman. 4 of our starters carried over from the NC team last year. This does not mean that the talent has produced, but the talent is there. There are plenty of issues with this team but talent is not one, just like the football team didn’t lack talent.

Agreed.

However, “ability” simply means that one isn’t producing.

That could change.

But for now, it’s where this team is.

I never did. Anderson and Eyanson was always a difficult replacement, not counting the power of Frey and Bear.

Please link anyone saying there were “no weaknesses”. Feels like this team was heralded as talented with good bats and an iffy pitching staff with potential that was “deep”

Never fails. Every off-season this upcoming team is better.

I remember people on here in 2020 saying this football team could be a better then 2019

To be fair, on paper this roster looked great. Sh*t happens I’ll only be concerned with the trajectory of our program if next year looks similar to this dreadful year.

The media needs to have a mechanism where they have to face the results of what they predicted before the season.
