In days Kharg Island will be full and the fragile Iranian oil wells will be shut in.

The longer Irans oil wells are shut off, the difficulty in restarting the pumping increases. Without oil revenue, Iran is fricked.

Is all of Barry's money gone?

China or Russia might float them a loan.

They have to shut wells down, bridges will be the least of their problems.

I wonder if this is becomes a storage issue like we saw during covid where oil went negative as no one could take immediate possession?

I mean they could just pump it onto the desert I guess but that in and of itself seems like it would become a major problem very quickly as well.

Long term it fricks everyone in the world. Once shut, water rushes in and forces the oil into rock pores where it can never be recovered. When the world, at current consumption rates, has 60 years of proven oil reserves left that’s not good for anybody to lose that oil beyond recovery

People have to stop running with this narrative like it's Gospel.
It's not ideal for them, and would be costly but this "oil is gone forever" line is not true.

The IRG will just pump the crude and dump it into a hole in the ground somewhere. Environmental concerns are not something that worries them.

So American oil gains market share, regardless. I don’t think Trump really minds the Strait being closed for a bit. He is allowing them to go after each other while under siege

Maybe the goat frickers should have stopped enriching uranium. Maybe they should have let IAEA inspectors have unfettered access, on demand, to all nuclear facilities. Oh well, get fricked IRGC.

One day someone will be correct on calling “the oil will run out.” I have two books on the shelf on that subject.

I bet at least one of them was written in the 70s. It's like organic material has all of a sudden stopped degrading.

I wouldn't go hog wild over statements by the Treasury Secretary. Iran will find a way to smuggle some of that oil overland thru the Stan's on its eastern and northeast frontier borders.
