I wouldn't go hog wild over statements by the Treasury Secretary. Iran will find a way to smuggle some of that oil overland thru the Stan's on its eastern and northeast frontier borders.

Can you be more specific?

Three 5 gallon pails in the back of a Toyota pickup doesn’t count.

Thanks

Same. This mess can end from our side when Trump sacks up and takes it.

Does the fact that we are on the same side on this make you not want to take it?

How much crude oil do you think can be transported over rough terrain with limited infrastructure while the world watches on live satellite feeds?
They export almost 1.5 million+ barrels per day. That is 1.5 million at roughly 42 gallons/barrel. The average 18-wheeler can hold about 10,000 gallons.
That's about 240 barrels per truck. That is roughly 6250 trucks per day to move the oil overland and get it out of the country, much less distribute it to other nations.
Simple math proves your argument to be 100% invalid.

It would be a losing venture from the first minute.

This is why I asked for specifics a few posts up

My guess is ocho didn’t really think thru this position too far. Because the position is laughable.

You generally have some pretty good takes, but bringing up the debunked "peak oil theory" ain't one of 'em.

The Democrats want all of this to end because they know Trump will come out on top.

Oil is abiotic.

That only works in a lab under strict controlled conditions. Folks who think this is true don't know that every single drop of crude oil has a biotic signature.

Nice try clueless

Hubert's peak oil theory from the 1950's noted that tight shale formations but there was no way to tap into it until geosteerable drilling. Hydraulic Fracturing and horizontal drilling are so 1940's but without accuracy required
