Think if we were in the middle of a conference title race he’d be back. Since we are dead in the water no use to even risk it

Moore/Schmidt/Evans all back next year is a pretty big deal

The statement that Moore "will return next season" seems a little presumptive, but I'll take it. Will likely be the best starting rotation in the country.

The only down side is you're going to have a hard time attracting top end portal pitching talent if you've got your rotation already set.

The flip side of that is you can spend a lot more on position players.

Or.... it is just a triceps issue that can be fixed now with surgery instead of coming back inning by inning over the next month, not being 100%, and getting something done in the summer, hoping it's healed by fall.

Good trade off if he’s coming back. Same rotation will be extraordinary.

So, you havent followed arm injuries for pitchers the last couple years in college baseball?

Wait until you find out Nuss actually just had a cyst on his spine that needed a mere 2 weeks to heal if it had been surgically removed.

Yes, happens all the time all across the country. Forearm tightness, forearm strains, triceps strains can all turn into nothing or season ending

I appreciate the confidence. I’ve just had way too many bad takes about this team to be making bold claims like that lol

Moore, paz, evans, and schmidt will be a pretty damn good start. Wont need much pitching from the portal, just a couple
