The Bengals had the worst pass rush in the NFL last year. This move immediately fixes that problem. Steep price but that’s how you gotta pay to get these deals done.

I don't know what the cap looks like, but love the straight up trade value for the Bengals.

Yeah I’m hesitant to get too excited about this, but this is a great point. The bengals would have fricked the pick up.

Main value of these high picks is having a stud on a rookie contract. Don’t like this for the Bengals.

I like anything that immediately improves our defense. We don't have a big window left with guys like Burrow and Jamarr and Tee. We need to make shite happen NOW. Part of that is giving those guys support on the other side of the ball so they don't have to do all the fricking work, like last season.

I mean...I dont know about immediately. Dex went from 9.5 sacks the previous year to .5 last year. I get not wanting to play for an organization but also thats laughable and bad man. I just don't know if thats the play I wouldve made given how rookies are starting to have those kinds of numbers, hind sight will be 20/20 but not my favorite move.

Defensive tackle is not a premiere enough of a position to drop a top 10 pick on in a trade for a vet. Absolute fleece by the giants

Pft, I think this is a great trade for the Bengals. Hell I was kinda hoping my Chiefs would do this for the #9 pick. This draft is pretty weak, at least the Bengals know they're getting a very good player. The only downside is they don't get a rookie on a cheap contract for 5 years. Side note the Giants might be a sneaky pick to make the playoffs with Harbough if they can stay healthy.

A 340 lb DT that has exceeded 5 sacks twice in his career is fixing that? This ain't Aaron Donald.

And there are 10-11 elite players in this draft so they would have gotten one of them on a rookie contract.

Maybe. Likely maybe not. He’ll be 29 coming off of the worst season of his career in terms of sacks (0.5) and pressures (12)
